This stubby little assassin bug hunts millipedes. You would think such an insect would be found, like, somewhere near millipede habitat, but this one was flitting along a stretch of sidewalk.

I cannot emphasize enough how unexpected this creature was. A mucousy blob nearly the size of my foot revealed itself to be a seahare when moved back into the water
