I really like the idea of Lan Wangji quietly breaking cloud recesses rules. Like there’s 3000+ surely there’s got to be some outdated rules. It’s wouldn’t start until after Wei Wuxian’s death he’s too much of a model citizen before that.
He respects the rules for the most part but surely there’s some dumb rules like ‘no pacing up and down the corridors on a Friday’ or ‘instruments must be tuned before use’ or maybe he would stay up a little bit past curfew because he was simply enjoying his book.
Nothing major just small rebellions. Also I’m a big believer in Lan Wangji having tattoo specifically having bunny tattoos.
Adding to this it’s not even that he’s rebellious just that he started asking why.
I feel like this is something he also passed on to his students. He didn’t just teach the cloud recesses rules but taught them to understand them and to question them.
