Their styles also translate from sport to sport which is why it very familiar with the structure and style of each shore because I went through A LOT of cleats during my time playing. I just got a new pair that I use when I play pick up games/ when I play ultimate frisbee too. (I used mid cut Nike cleats for years but I had to size up because they were so narrow. Now I wear new balance mid cut because they have the best support and cushion. )

So out of the big 3, Nike and Jordan are the narrowest from toe to heel not only of their uppers but in their footbeds and soles. These are good for guards and some combo guards/ forwards who play with an uptempo game. Nike also makes the thinnest and most lightweight shoes of the big 3 which you want if you’re a guard. Only problem with thin and lightweight shoes? Unstable.

Under armor is second narrowest using a heel lock system locking the heel into place for stability and maintaining it through the mid foot but making the toe box roomier for agility and balance since balance comes from your forefoot and your toes. UA is good for all guards but especially shooting guards and some small forwards for their stability and agility combo. They also have some of the best traction patterns in the shoe game.

Adidas is the widest of the three and the best for people with wider feet. They run with a standard medium fit from heel to toe but usually have a lace lock system to adjust how tight they can get on your foot. They also have the most stability and cushion with like a springboard type feel to them. They also have the best ankle support so they’re best for forwards and centers.

TLDR?:

Nike: entire thing is narrow. very thin, very light. good for speed. Good for guards and combo guards.

UA: roomy toe box but narrow heel with heel lock system. Heel lock = stability. combo = excellent agility and balance. Good for all guards especially shooting guards and small forwards.

Adidas: widest with medium fit. Lace lock system. most stability and cushion. Good for forwards and centers.
