Wow...I guess my #bestofnine2017 is best represented through my work and one of my passions, Praise and Poetry Jam. I thought it would be images of myself or my family and friends, who definitely are a big part of my life. However based on the amount of likes here on Instagram, seems as though what I do has a great impact or generates the most interest from my followers. I'm grateful overall for the ability to use my gifts and talents especially to please God and benefit others. I don't want to ever take that for granted. Last year I officially went into business on my own. I learned so much and worked very hard to get to that point. While there's still more to learn, I am aiming to get better and not allow doubt to set me back. I appreciate those who truly believe in me and have been very supportive. If people count me out or underestimate me, well that's fine. I'll just keep having faith and move forward to what God has me for to accomplish. So 2018...look out for a better me in many ways. Facts about me!

I turned 29 a few days ago...so I thought I would post 29 Facts about myself: 1)A wolf is my favorite animal 2) I'm adopted 3) I've won several art contests in school 4) Fave meal made by my mom: Corn beef and cabbage 5) I started walking at 10 months old 6) I played soccer and tennis as a kid 7) I play clarinet and tenor sax 8) I love to travel; been to Canada and at least 15 states 9) I've had a few poems "published" in school 10) I had 3 dogs, 6 birds, a cat, several fish, and a hamster (at different times)when I was a kid. 11) Nickname by my family: TOOTIE 12) Nickname by my friends: Sweet Spirit 13) My first kiss was with my husband 14) I'm a daddy's girl 15) I'm hard in electronics. Something always breaks on me lbvs smh 16) I really like keeping things simple 17) I wanted to be a singer, forensic scientist, or an animator as a kid. Yea...I was optimistic. 18) I sold greeting cards and animal drawings as my first business venture 19) I love to babysit my friend's kids 20) I don't have kids...yet. 2017? 21) I've always wanted to go to London or Paris 22) I love milk chocolate flavor and chocolate milk 23) I fall asleep on most cars trips that are over an hr 24) I was featured a few times as a kid (with others) on the news for programs I was in at school 25) I had two surgeries 26) I was nearly face to face with a cheetah 27) I got married at 21(still happily married) 28) I am a child at heart 29) I want to be an author

Happy New Year!

Well…it’s about that time again. I’m not ready, lol.

I’m not into politics that much, however I do my best to be aware of what’s going in and pay attention to the key matters or issues. As a kid, I was pushed to be Democrat and go along with who was the most popular. Now I know more and know better. ________________________

So I’m sure most of us were told we could be president some day if we wanted to be. I’m also sure that when Obama was elected many boys…and girls as well, esp those who are African-American were even more encouraged that someday they could be president.

Now here we are…with two new candidates and I’m certain now that anyone could be president. Whether black or white, male or female, qualified or not! Why….well we have the two most interesting and probably “not the best we could be choosing from” candidates running for president! If you didn’t think before anyone could be president, well think again.

Honestly I’m not feeling either one. I don’t feel like getting much into it, but my choice will have to come down to who is the closest to upholding my values and beliefs. Also which one is the less of two evils/who do I feel is going to be best suited to run this country the next four years with the least amount of damage.

Yes I said it…this is where I coming from and I’m sure many can relate.

I’ll end with saying that it is important to vote. Let nothing stop you from choosing one of them. In the end, I will always believe God is in control. My life will still go according to His plan no matter who’s in charge of where I live.

As I hope the candidate who wins will do right by this country and makes the right moves…as much as I or anyone can hope…I will trust God first and through it all!

Pray…know the details...vote…pray! In that order!
