Lose Yourself
What truly does it mean to lose something? Â Leaving it behind? Letting it go? or Simply screwing up??
How many things have we lost as a person? how many objects have been returned to the void of life. The magic pencil or writing apparatus that just magically disappears when it falls to the ground. That important piece of paper that can decide your future, that last piece of money you have so that you can go home or those important friends that you can never speak with again?
People do change, same as object may it be internal or external, but the main key in this is adaptation and acceptance. Are you strong enough to adapt to change or are you weak enough to just accept it. Or is it the other way around I donât really know do you?Â
Leaving it behind or Letting it go, people can leave things behinds as a token of them moving on from that item, may it be a toy, a shoe, a shirt or a person. Now this is where it gets tricky, leaving behind a person is painful, for the person that was left and the person that is leaving. Nothing in this world truly is one sided, there is a balancing force out there that keeps everything in line. No one can escape the pain of separation, itâs impossible.Â
Simply screwing up, now this is the kicker this is the most painful of the latter, this is when you realize your upmost stupidity and you just say â damn Iâm screwed I Fcked up. â People say itâs easier when you know what was the problem but demn it stings when you know your the problem, this is when you get stuck up on, what could I have done better What could I have done to make things right and so on so forth. This oblivious though process that just ends up into a ridiculous cycle of disappointment.
Losing yourself is not really literally losing oneself, it is not letting go of a past version of you, and you say that you have matured, or screwing up an exam and losing your past self that was an academic achiever. Itâs about the little bits of your soul or yourself that you invest on objects or persons. When you leave those items, persons or you screw up for them to get destroyed or go away. Thatâs what losing yourself truly is.Â
