ONE DAY AT A TIME

Most of us take advantage of life. We eat what we want, we do what we want and sometimes we never like to listen to anyone else. As I sit here on the second floor of the Presbyterian Hospital in the ICU department, Charlotte had asked me to come with her. Maybe to give her some support, she did just lose her Mom two months ago. 

I'm glad she asked and now that I'm here it's really sad to see how people treat their loved ones, specially those who are hook up to these tubes just to keep them alive. I know she didn't have to ask, but I'm hoping this is a step forward in our relationship, to meet others like her Mom's friends. 

They call her Auntie Baby, she is only 72 years old, and last week she had a stroke. When they found her, 30 minutes had already passed. She was practically brain dead by the time they brought here to the hospital. The family decided to go ahead and keep her on life support until she stops breathing. (But isn't that what life support does, to help you breath?)

There are certain things that I don't agree to, and this one is definitely not one of them. Maybe they are afraid to make that decision and just PULL THE PLUG. I was given the same responsibility not too long ago. It's a very hard decision and I hope none of you would have to make that decision for anyone in your family. Let's not take life for granted, and the time we have left in this world. 

All I'm asking for is for me to finish what I have started. I have never done that in all the 42 years of my life. We never know when its our turn to go and leave this place. Just be sure to live your life to the fullest. 

Lord, I ask that you give me the strength to get through this day, and if anything would happen, good or bad I know that you will never leave my side. Please bless these people that I will encounter today, make them see the truth and be open-minded. I have set many goals in life and none finished. This is my last lifeline and what ever decisions you make I will gladly accept. My family have done so much for me already that it's my turn to make sure no one else will ever take care of me. 

I'm alone in this journey and have come to my last life support, and only you I seek. I have hurt many people in the past and present. My heart can't take anymore, and for the first time I have given my mind, my body, my soul and my heart and yet I still feel helpless and beaten. 

This is why I have come to you to ask for forgiveness, because you are the only one that knows the truth and if there's any doubt, please give me the strength to just move forward.

BE PRODUCTIVE!!!

I learned something very valuable from Steve Jobs the other day, he said "Make today feel like it's the last day of your life." I want to stop procrastinating and start living the way he lived. I decided to go to LACMA (Los Angeles Contemporary Museum of Art) because I've never been there and it was a chance for me to cross it off my bucket list.

While getting off the bus and seeing LACMA for the first time, gave me the chills. I've always wanted to come here and do a photo shoot, but while searching online for ideas I came across my Facebook and noticed that some of my photographer friends have already done a photo shoot at this location. I didn't want to be like everyone else. That's part of the reason why I never wanted to come here. 

Coming here today, I feel very calm, inspired and motivated, and even as I write this, I know that I have accomplished something today. 

As I was walking around and looking over all these beautiful art work, I walked in to a room and I was like Wow!!! I sat in the middle of the room feeling overwhelmed and had to take these pictures. I feel like I just time travelled back to Ancient Greece because of these beautiful statues, and 16th century Italy because of the painting and one of them happens to be the pope.

I'm very fond of statues collections. These are some of my favorites. (Can you believe I can actually draw)?

I’ve always considered myself hopelessly romantic, and this is just my personal view on how to be hopelessly romantic.

One thing we need to understand, don’t confuse romance with materialism. Material things like buying them expensive jewelry, taking them out to a 5 star restaurant or spend thousands of dollars on a vacation. This is great if you have the money and your partner feels the same way.

For someone that is hopelessly romantic would be low maintenance and would try to WOW you with other inexpensive things or to do.

Here’s a small list of the things that you can do. - A stroll along the beach - An evening walk in a park - Cooking dinner at home - Send you flowers just because - Watch a movie that you both like at home - Writing a love letter or a small love note

Once you are in a romantic relationship, make sure to look out for these signs and see if your partner falls into this category of Hopeless Romantic.

I have been inspired by a few people this past week, and now I’m motivated to get back on track. I didn’t realize I had it in me to write and how to write properly. If you want to be inspired by others, read the things that will allow you to grow as a person and get motivated by what they say.

I hope that in the next few days I can inspire you and give you the motivation you need. I have learned that writing helps me control my emotions. I write what I feel and after I’m done I leave those emotions and continue to move forward.

I came up with these words almost 2 years ago, there’s been days that I’m not so positive.

So what do you do?

Be positive - There are certain things in our life that we have no control over.

What happens when you get upset?

Feel positive - Did you know that being stress is one of many causes of a heart attack. Relax, walk away and what ever you need to do to calm yourself down.

How do I move on?

Live positive - Smile and laugh. Smiling and laughing is known to be contagious. When you start smiling and laughing others will do it too.
