Hi brooks! I’m Ludo geom Italy, I really enjoy your work and you inspired me to try to shoot some film! I just got a nikonos V and wanted to take photos of some friend surfing.. i’m new in surf photography and kind of new in film photography, do you have any general advice? What film type do you suggest to start with? Thanks in advance! Ludo
Thanks for the message Ludo! I’d start with a faster film speed so that you can shoot between F8 - F11 at 1/1000. Once you get that down; I’d start experimenting with film speeds, f stops, and shutter speeds. Good luck! ~ Brooks

Hey what type of camera do you shoot on?
I shoot with various cameras. My go to film cameras are the Nikon Nikonos V, Canon EOS 3, and Canon 1V. My go to digital camera is the Canon 5D Mark II (mostly for client work).
