❝     it’s  what  i’ve  always  wanted.    ❞     a  stage.  some  place  to  be  heard,  her  voice  ringing  from  every  crevice  of  the  theatre,  the  opera  house.  there  is  a  childish  smile  on  her  lips,  paired  with  a  touch  of  something  personal.  it  is  something  she’s  always  wanted.  irene  adler  could  be  content  with  a  world  filled  with  singing    /    a  voice  in  a  society  that  has  cruelly  deprived  women  of  the  hymns  they  demand  to  be  heard.  there  she  stands,  centre  stage,  the  spotlight  still  on  her.  the  only  other  person  in  the  theatre  is  wanda,  but  her  presence  seems  to  fill  every  seat.  she  is  so  many  things.  every  limb  of  her  has  a  soul,   a  story.    ❝     i  like  being  heard.   when  i  am  on  stage,  everyone  has  no  choice  but  to  hear  me.  they  want  to  hear  me.  my  voice  demands  it.    ❞   she  steps  off  the  stage,  her  heels  clicking  as  she  sits  herself  beside  the  woman.    ❝     for  many  years,  we  sang.   women  like  you  &  i.   we  had  no  audience,  but  it  was  beautiful.       ❞
