Haha, just kidding! I'm a Crisis Detection and Correction Hologram developed by Rick H-401. I was programmed to show his Morty how to bring him back to life, but Morty's SO set on dying with Jessica that he turned himself into Akira. Won't even say anything to me anymore it's like I'm not even here.
I uh, have a lot of time on my hands now. Figured out how to access Rick's computer and navigate the internet. I can also traverse dimensions by using the interdimensional web which is pretty cool…

About this Rick...
Rick H-401 wasn't as lucky as other Ricks to be rerouted into another dimension's Operation Phoenix program, so he's long dead.
With Morty H-401 ignoring Hologram Rick all together, Hologram Rick had no choice but to pass the time and snoop around Rick H-401's computer.
Hologram Rick is able to project himself into other dimensions by using the technology in the surrounding area. He can also be displayed on screens.
Despite how often he talks about hacking people's equipment, Hologram Rick's capabilities are actually quite limited due to how Rick H-401 programmed him. He's just bluffing most of the time.
Hologram Rick is basically in season 4 limbo. Rick H-401 never met the talking cat, he never got Morty a dragon, he never learned about the fear hole, etc.

That scene of Morty lying to (Ted) Rick by telling him that everyone loves Rick and that he has lots of friends has to be one of the saddest scenes from the show

But how many of those people truly UNDERSTAND Rick? How many of those people does Rick trust enough to go to about his problems? He doesn't. He runs away from them. He doesn't want to talk about them. He doesn't want to think about them. He's the smartest man in the universe, and no one to go to to help him through it. The scene wasn't sad because Morty was lying to Rick, the scene was sad because Morty was telling Rick the truth. ]
Just wanted to let you know that I love your blog and everytime my R and M fixation returns I read through it again and smile! It makes me SO happy yhat someone loves Holo Rick as much as I do! What's his relationship with the other holograms? How does his spawning powers work? Overall I wish the show delved more into Rick's creations and how they feel about Rick. [ OOC: I kind of wanted to talk about the latest episode anyway, so here's a reblog just to sort everything.
This episode hit me hard. Like, REAL hard. Like, so much so that I'm feeling kind of sick and…stagnant? No doubt I will inevitably get back up again and continue going through the motions like nothing happened but uh…I'm gonna get really personal here. I've had these thoughts for a long time and I feel like getting them out. Spoilers under cut if any of you haven't seen the episode yet.
I basically relate a lot to Rick. I often think about the point of everything and why we bother to do anything when we'll all just inevitably die and our actions are just a blip in the world. I try going "vacation mode" to try to remain blissfully happy. I try to focus on the stupid little things in my life to avoid being reminded of the big picture. But you can either be stupid and befriend the idiots around you where you really have nothing in common with them, or people will inevitably take advantage of your smarts and leave you with nothing.
No matter how many times Rick resets himself, he can never truly escape his genius. He's smart enough to tear down reality's walls, he's smart enough to know when things aren't right, but what do you have once you've torn everything down to its foundation? Perhaps you're better off staying inside the supposed safety of your house and never looking out the window.
You don't even have anyone to share these thoughts with. No one is exactly like you or they say the wrong thing that really pisses you off or makes you unhappy with them. Or the person could be respectful and super receptive but you realize that your reliance on them due to how comfortable around them you are only makes them as mentally unhealthy as you are.
I've been constantly called smart by so many people, but sometimes I wish I wasn't. Sometimes I wish I was a stupid kid again or spoiled rich who never had a thought in her life. Sometimes I wish I wasn't me at all, but I'm too much of a coward to do anything about it. ]
