Always happy to introduce people to one of my favorite niche forms of vore~! ^^

As a brief overview, abdomen vore (sometimes considered an offshoot/subtype of tail vore) is a primarily bug-based form of vore wherein prey is inserted into a pred's abdomen.

This can be for a number of purposes. Sometimes the abdomen simply acts as storage, or a secondary stomach for the pred. For preds who reproduce via oviposition, it can result in a form of unbirth, transforming the prey into an egg/eggs, to be laid and/or deposited inside someone else. But my personal favorite is when the pred is a honey producing species, and converts consumed prey into rich, delicious, syrupy goodness~

Well, the actual digestive process is fairly similar to other abdomen-based vores. The prey is inserted through the spinneret into the internal web-making gland.

In a normal spider, the deeper walls of this gland are lined with two types of cells that secrete component proteins (Spidroin I and II) which mix to begin forming the gel-like fluid that will eventually be processed into web filaments.

In spider-people with predatory spinnerets, however, these cells produce digestive enzymes that instead break prey down into those component proteins, among other nutrients, similar to how our honey-making abdominal chambers break prey down into honey sugars. The nutrients are absorbed by the spider-person's system, while the Spidroin produced remains to be processed as normal~

In the case of soul silk, the process can vary from species to species. Some infuse the soul into the produced Spidroin, ultimately creating soul-enhanced filaments that can possess various properties, while other more specialized species may not even use the body for Spidroin at all, instead breaking it down entirely for nutrients while separating out the soul and using it in place of the proteins for silk production, creating an entirely ethereal webbing as a result~
