This was my last ride on Dax. We were never perfect, not even close. But he was the best thing to ever happen to me. And I’ve been debating whether or not to post this because it’s not an amazing video, but I enjoy remembering him and everything he meant to me. So have some awkward diagonal practice with cross cantering and simple changes. I miss him more everyday but I know it was time to move on.

I’ve come to realize I have been living my life by someone else’s standards, and I have decided to prioritize me and my happiness from now on. That includes bringing my heart horse back into my life and learning not to feel guilty for it.

Good things come with time. I’m very happy to say that Dax officially became a member of the family on June 7th 2020 and moved to my barn with me! Dreams can come true if you’re patient enough 🥰
