I know looking back in anger isn’t productive but I cannot believe how many hours I had to spend listening to a man who not only allowed his mistress into the home he shared with his wife but allowed said mistress to hold his newborn baby (me) when his wife (my mother) wasn’t home lecture me about the importance of family

I tend to abstain from sharing anything about my dysfunctional family life (source of my c-ptsd) on the internet. But this felt surreal to read because my dad is completely identical.
