Legolas

I think he’d have to take a moment to understand this terrible occurrence that happens to you a lot. After explaining it to him and realising he needs to grasp the idea first, you begin overthinking immediately, whether it was a good idea to even tell him about the entire thing. Seeing that you were getting started on this thing of yours that he didn’t get just yet, he would immediately go to your side and wrap his arms around you, holding you close and running his hands through his hair to soothe you. After a couple of days, he’d fully understand the situation and would become really observant so that he’d know when you’ve started overthinking and he’s needed. He wouldn’t talk to much while calming you down, he’d just rub your back or do anything to soothe you while smiling at you softly and simply being there for you.

Haldir

Alright, honestly, I feel like he’d low-key stare at you in confusion when you first overthink. In fact, he’d probably think you were sick and needed lots of help. I have a feeling he’d scoop you up in his arms and carry you to bed, immediately placing a cold compress on your forehead and looking at you concernedly. It would probably distract you from your thoughts for awhile and you’d probably laugh a bit once you realise he didn’t know what happened. After explaining it to him, his eyes would grow wide in understanding and he’d quickly wrap you in a hug and quietly “shhh” you to make you relax. The next time it happens, he’d do the same or, if you’re in public, he’d tell you to focus on him and would probably squeeze your hand before your thoughts go on overdrive.

Faramir

Awww, Faramir. I feel that that he would understand you pretty fast because he’d overthink about other issues (especially when he was younger) too. Chances are, the first time it’s happening and if it’s a light one, he’d look at you and ask you if you go through the overthinking process. Once he find outs you do, I believe he’d plant a kiss on your forehead and place your head on his shoulder to lean on him. Faramir would probably just stay quiet, even when it happens again, like Legolas, and would give you the occasional kiss to tell you he’s here. I believe he’d talk to you about it too during the times when you’re relaxed and both of you can process together and learn more on how to control it and refocus when it happens. His support is going to be at a different level honestly since he knows how it feels.

Eomer

Eomer…hmmmmm. Actually, I feel that he’d be gruff with you the first time it’s happening since he thinks it’s just fear (or something else that’s not overthinking) talking and not overthinking. Being a leader, he can’t (and doesn’t, unless one of his men gets injured or passes away) overthink, he needs to find a way to win and he has no time to think too heavily. You’d probably look at him in shock at his reaction and after a second, he’d realise he said the wrong think and ask you himself to avoid confusion. Once he gets the situation, Eomer would place his arms around your waist, pull you close, and say things like, “Look at me, I’m here”, “You’re safe”, “Believe me, love, if you can’t in anything else, at least me,” and all of that. He’d tilt your head slightly up afterwards and would press his lips against yours in a sweet comforting kiss. That would probably be his way to centre you every time you’d overthink and you’d agree that it worked for you.

Aragorn

Due to his long friendship with you, even before you were together, Aragorn would know what was occurring and what to do. You’d have explained it to him already while you were friends so that he could understand and he did. Though he didn’t overthink much until he had to play a big role in saving Middle Earth, quickly he’d learn what to do. In the beginning, when you still hadn’t been in a relationship with each other yet, a good squeeze on the shoulder and a reminder to breathe would suffice. By the time you decided to take the plunge and be together, the quest to destroy the Ring was already going on and both of you were part of the Fellowship. This would lead to you comforting him too during the time he’d overthink and telling each other “I love you and I’m here” during the moments when either of you would think too much would be more than enough help in bringing you back to a knowing and tranquil state of mind.

Gifting Flower Crowns

Fellowship x Reader

A/N: Hey Anon! This is so cute. I made them separate but if you wanted it as a single HC/one shot scenario, let me know and I’ll change it!

Aragorn

When you hand him the flower crown to wear, he gets such a soft smile on his face. Aragorn will thank you for the beautiful gift before placing it on his head. He’ll wear it all day instead of his usual crown, completely unbothered by the teasing of others.

Boromir

He grins brightly and insists that you have the honor of placing it on him. Once you do, he smothers your cheeks in kisses. Thanking you for the flower crown. Proudly wears it all day but takes it off during training since he doesn’t want to break it by accident.

Legolas

When he sees you holding a flower crown, he teases you lightly, “oh is that for me?”. But his smile and light blush gives it away that he adores it. Gently places it on his head before insisting to make you a matching one. “What’s a prince without his princess” he’d say with a wink as he places the one he made on your head.

Gimli

He highkey thanks the Valar for a beard to hide his red cheeks. Gimli is so flustered that you’d gift him a flower crown. It definitely doesn’t match his Barbarian vibes but wears it nonetheless. Lowkey loves it so much. He will stutter and threaten anyone who teases him for being soft.

Frodo

He’s a little shy when you gift it to him, but grins brightly as you place it on his head. Asks what brought up the idea of making him one and will blush when you say “just because!”

Sam

Will shyly grin at you with a bright blush on his cheeks. Softly thanking you for the flower crown. After wearing it for days, he’ll press it to preserve the beautiful flowers and display it in a picture frame.

Merry

Will get very happy and excited that you made him such a cute gift! Wears it with pride, and if anyone asks, he’ll happily brag how his amazing s/o made it. He’ll definitely ask you to teach him how to make them.

Pippin

He gets so excited that you’re giving him a flower crown. Pouncing on the balls of his feet, barely able to keep still as you place it on his head. A literal puppy and will straight up go around to strangers and show it off

Gandalf

Samwise:

Dear Sam! Oh bless his kind heart! He would cook you a delicious soup and would cuddle with you, keeping you warm and safe, even tucking you in with a blanket one of his sisters made for you.

He soothingly rubbed your back when you would throw up and hold your hair.

He gives angry glares at the others for being too loud and watches over you like a guardian, protecting you from anything which could disturb your peaceful slumber.

He even offers to do your laundry or other chores, he would basically do anything for you, but you tried your best to explain that it really wasn't necessary.

Along with Sam's help you were able to feel better very soon.

"Now don't you worry Y/N. I've made you some good soup to make you feel better in no time."

Frodo:

Oh boy! Frodo knows what's it's like to feel extremely sick.

So of course he immediately sympathized with you.

He would read to you, to distract you from your throbbing headache. He also would write you cute, little "get well soon" cards and draw on them too.

He's also curious and wants to know how he can help you more, so he does a lot of research about your illness.

He's always asking if you need anything and is super gentle while you're sick.

Almost treating you, as if you were made of porcelain, he's kinda sad he can't do more to stop your suffering but you told him how very thankful you are that he's there for you.

Aragorn:

When Aragorn found out you were sick he became immediately worried.

He would constantly check if you're okay and would try to get you to see Elrond.

You tried your hardest to explain to him it's nothing too serious, but he couldn't help but worry.

He grew up among the elves, so he knows about their wonderful elvish medicine.

He regulary checks on you and even sings to you softly.

Aragorn's a very good healer. He would try to care for you as best as he can and in his care you'll feel better in no time.

"There, there meleth nìn, I'll take good care of you now. I promise."

Legolas:

Legolas was so scared for you.

It was very uncommon for elves to get sick, so of course he was worried about you.

He'll try to ease the pain by giving you a massage to ease your sore muscles, or by pressing a cold rag to your forehead.

Your headache made you sensitive to loud noises, so Legolas would often whisper to you.

He's afraid his normal voice would be too loud.

It's honestly really adorable how much he cares about you and you found him to be very endearing.

He'd stay right beside your bedside, guarding you and you both watch the raindrops outside hit the glass window

Faramir:

He's a gentle and caring soul so of course he'd be anxious when you're sick.

Faramir would give you flowers and place them on your nightstand, decorating your room with the beautiful leaves to make you feel better.

He'd hold your hand and brush the hair out of your face. Tugging you in cozy blankets when you fall asleep and bringing you tea.

Faramir would try to help you stay connected with the outside world. Telling you about news when you're too sick to go outside.

And if you can go outside but your body is still too sore he'd happily drive you around in a wheelchair to get you some fresh air
