OOC Note: This post is a little long but @sehunxbt and I wrote it to give you the possibility to see more of “ Sephie “. It’s not much and I’m pretty sure that no one asked for it but it’s been a lot of fun and whoever is interested in how Sehun and Sophie interact, this is a ( SMALL ) insight into the couple and their interaction ! Sophie’s parents are also briefly mentioned so by reading this you will learn ( A LITTLE ) about Sophie and her family. It’s not too detailed to avoid this becoming too long, but I still like it. A fanaccount watched the V-Live by Sehun and Sophie and put a small summary online. The original video is also available on Mellow’s official YouTube channel. Read below what happened in the video.
Right after Sophie’s showcase there was a V-Live happening with the female idol, her boyfriend and even her parents who came from New York to support their daughter ! The four people were sitting on a couch in one of the building’s waiting rooms and Sophie was holding the camera with a selfie stick, making sure that everyone was in the picture during the beginning of the live session. They started off with greeting the viewers and Sophie’s enthusiasm was very cute. Despite performing for hours and talking a lot during the showcase, she was in front of the camera and talked to the fans once again, especially to those who couldn’t attend her showcase that day. She told everyone that she was very happy to see the faces of so many fans at the showcase today and that she hopes that next time there will be more and hopefully also new faces.
Then she pointed the camera towards her parents with the words " Today we have some special guests here, say ’ Hello ’ to the people watching us " and the two adults immediately smiled and waved their hands as a greeting. Sehun was quick to add that his girlfriend had no idea her parents were going to show up ! He made sure to also note that this was “ all his idea ”, a cocky yet playful comment that had Sophie gaze at him both with amusement and love.
Just from watching them I could tell that Sophie got her looks from her mom, she’s just as beautiful as her daughter. She smiled warmly at the camera while Sophie’s dad looked stern, even with a smile on his face. He seemed intimidating at first due to his tough appearance, but he warmed up quickly during the V-Live and let fans know how proud he was of his daughter and her work. He also praised the song Sehun and Sophie wrote together, mentioning how he’s going to be very disappointed if the male won’t marry his daughter, making everyone laugh. Watching him speak about Sophie and her accomplishments it was obvious that he loves and adores his daughter, and that caused Sophie to tear up a little. Sehun was immediately wrapping his arms around her once he realized that. It was a very heartwarming and cute scenario, as expected from such a sweet couple.
Sehun began reading the stream of comments. Clearly, he was a fast reader as he reacted to several, even repeating some of them. “ Hey, a lot of people are asking if Mr. and Mrs. Hwang like me. ” He gave a brief look at them with a grin before responding, “ I think they TOLERATE me. ” His answer was enough to receive several complains from the family, debunking his words completely. “ I’m kidding, they like me and I like them. Why else would I bring them here? ” It was funny watching the contrast between Sophie and Sehun, the two distinctly different in personality and mannerisms. While Sophie spoke formally and used animated hand gestures, Sehun was more composed and quiet, only making jokes or nodding. Many fans were interested in their future plans and if they were really getting married, but they appeared to be either ignoring them or not seeing them. Either way, they look genuinely happy together and whoever is skeptical about whether or not they are dating for publicity: watch the stream !!
Many of the other questions were about where they were going after the stream, or if they were doing more music together. Sophie was quick to answer the latter, saying that she was hopeful about making more music in the future with him and even doing a full-on collaboration project.
Towards the end of the stream, you could tell “ Sephie ” became increasingly more comfortable in front of the camera as they subconsciously sat closer together. Sehun seemed like he was even called out by one of his fans for secretly trying to play with her hair, as he randomly smiled and lifted a strand of her hair up in the air before letting it go in surrender—Sophie completely oblivious of this of course. After Sophie thanked the audience for supporting her, he also added his thanks towards the fans as well as her parents for joining them in Korea. “ Sophie has to go re-apply her makeup now, since she cried in front of you all. ” He chimed, dodging a smack from not only Sophie but her mom as he escaped and went out of frame.
