                                 there’s    something    off    about    the    way    she    presents    herself    ;    the    type    of    churning    in    his    gut    that    would    make    anyone    sense    alarm    but    there’s    a    furrow    in    his    brow    at    the    way    she    speaks    to    him    ,    too    taunting    and    too    mischievous    for    him    to    garner    any    type    of    apprehension.    a    fickle    strain    of    displeasure    at    the    way    she    speaks   the   remark    is    evident    in    the    set    of    his    mouth    ,    a    frown    far    too    deep    to    not    hold    anything    other    than    an    impractical    annoyance.        ‘            lookin’    and    starin’    are    too    different    things.    if    you    got    somethin’    to    say    ,    say    it.    ‘m    not    here    for    cowardly    starin’.            ’
