I wanted to thank everyone who took the time to interact with my posts this past week and celebrate Elucien with us in whatever form they could.

Thesleepyfox encompassed everything I am hoping for in an Elucien book: a reformed rake trope bordering on historical romance with fantastical elements.

I can’t wait to see what creativity sparks in us next year!

I chose to Revive Calanmai! Honestly, Calanmai and Feral are so good together, that my submission for Feral was a precurser of things to come for this fic!

Summary: After several months, Elain overhears that their efforts to heal the Spring Court have been little help. It seems the only chance they have is to hold another Calanmai. Lucien agrees to take up the mantle once more in Tamlin's stead, and this time, Elain wants to take part. She now attends her first Fire Night, but her emotions grow tense at the thought of her mate finding another female as the maiden to perform the rite with. Spring has not seen two mates perform the Great Rite together in centuries, and Elain wonders if perhaps now is the time to rectify that.

Not every scar is visible, many are carried quietly and hidden behind smiles. Elain and Lucien have both been through so much in their lives, but they still choose not to give up.

I think one of the most beautiful things that will come from their mating bond is the chance to heal with someone who understands the weight of quiet pain without needing it explained.

Love can’t erase the past, but it can make healing a little easier. I really believe they’ll find the peace they’ve both been searching for in each other 💖
