"Glad I have that honor." Sam said with a sarcastic bow and a chuckle. "Let me guess, hangover? You should really go home and get some sleep. Howâs youâre leg?" Â He knew she was working, but he didnât know how she was even able to function. Coffee had always been his best friend on sleepless nights. "Iâm fine. I think Iâm going to crash as soon as I get to the motel."Â
"A salad and a beer is fine. Iâm really in no rush."
Jo couldn't help but laugh in response to Sam's bow, and smiled, happy that the pair of them were so at ease despite the night before's events. "How did you guess, was it the attitude or the half dead behaviour?" she said with a smirk, knowing there was no point in denying it. "It hurts like a bitch, but probably because I keep bumping it on things. It should be fine in a couple days I'm assuming." In truth, she wasn't sure it would be, but no point in making Sam worry. "I don't blame you, I plan on doing the same thing once I get there. " she couldn't wait to get home, jump on the couch and become dead to the world for a couple hours.
"I'll put that in right away anyways, if I was you I'd be home as quickly as possible." She stopped to look around and laughed lightly before adding, "We should probably get out of the storage room before I get into trouble."
