I'm just. Really envisioning a specific scene. Like, halfway to Stan's car or back he sort of wanders off by himself, not paying attention or he gets separated or something, and its not that dark, but he's freaking out a little and, well.

There's a pay phone right down the street. He'll just call the motel they were staying at, hope one of the Fords is there to answer, and sit tight until they get him. If not he can just figure something out, no biggie.

Gets some loose change from his pocket, and man, its a little hot, huh? Thats the thing about deserts though, they don't cool until the suns down, but its fine. The motel has ac, and so does the car. No biggie. Puts the change into the pay phone, picks up the phone, dials the number and-

All at once every defensive ward and spell Fords saddled Stan with goes off, and the world goes pitch black. The heat is way more intense, and he can see shadows wiggling over the barrier that popped into existence around him when the world disappeared.

He just got eaten. Again.

Except it can't dig in and finish its meal, because Stan's got more wards on his person than anything ever, and it can't break through to get at him. Stan's standing in its pocket dimension stomach, clutching the pay phone and listening as it breathes and whispers around him, not trying to hide what it is now that they both know whats happening here.

But he's got the pay phone, and so he makes a frantic call to the motel and leaves an almost incomprehensible message with the clerk for Ford before the line goes dead mid call

The phone's part of the entity after all, and it's not going to let him call for help again.

So now they're both just. There. Stan's in its stomach, not digesting because Ford's wards are keeping it at bay, but its not really comforting because he is still in its stomach. Its very hot, very dark, not dead silent anymore, as he can hear it whispering creepily and also its stomach gurgling.

Its terrifying. The darkness is wiggling like hands, teeth, claws, and also maybe a stomach. Hard to say with the shimmery barrier in the way and Stan huddling down, clutching his knees in terror.

Since Fords closer he can track Stan down (freaking out, because half the trackers he stuck on Stan aren't working, which means-), figure out where the two dimensions are closest, and use magic to physically pull Stan out again. Or something. Details are blurry there, but Ford saves the day here.

Then the pay phone follows them. Now that Stan's aware of it, he realizes it the same pay phone, innocently sitting in places pay phones would be, and no one but him can see it. Its a lure, trying to get Stan to use it so the Entity can pounce.
