For all its faults Tumblr has truly ruined all other social media for me because my friends all have Instagram and are all trying to get me on Instagram more but every time I open Instagram there are like fifteen things screaming for my attention and when I get over myself long enough to start scrolling it's like. Where is my chronological dash. Where is the following-only option. Who are these people. Why are there so many videos. Everyone is screaming at me. And then before I know it I'm thirty minutes into scrolling and I haven't seen a single thing that I actually care about. At least on Tumblr when I see stuff I don't care about I know someone I follow has found a new interest.

I looked at the group translation we have to do that's due this Wednesday at 1 PM thinking 'Surely we just have to take the parts we translated individually and make them more cohesive with one another'

False senses

A couple of sentences haven't been translated

There's a ton of word-by-word translated segments like LITERALLY WORD BY WORD

Some paragraphs use different verbal tenses to refer to the same TIME FRAME LIKE WHAT

Nobody knows how to use commas

Nobody knows that you don't put dialogue between commas in Spanish

I won't sit here and act like there weren't mistakes in my part of the translation but they were the normal mistakes you'd expect from a 4th year Translation major. NOT FALSE SENSES. NOT FUCKING SENTENCES MISSING, AND DEFINETLY. NOT FUCKING. LITERAL TRANSLATIONS THAT HAVE BEEN DONE WITH AI.

I've never wanted a drink more than right now.

Update: we have to also translate a song my teacher made with AI (no comment) and use AI to make it into an actual song once translated (also no comment)

Well the song translation isn't finished <3 and neither is the glossary we also have to send, and we haven't started on the repport we also have to send.

Update 2: I had to write the repport and do a part of the song that wasn't translated (this one is more understandable as a classmate's family member passed recently so I get it) and pressure seems to have gotten to my classmates and they're doing something so Yay! Hooray! Hallelujah even!!

Update 3: We sent it last night and we presented the final assignment tomorrow. Our work ended up being pretty good but omg did this raise my cortisol.

Also we were the only group with actual illustrations and not AI shitty photos so yay! Prof said she would take that into consideration when grading the assignment too so that's good!!
