My father passed away this afternoon. His decline was rapid, or not- depending on your perspective. Raymond Edward DeMarco was a complicated man with a big heart; too big it seems (a growth the size of a tennis ball was knocking about inside his heart). We fought for years, were estranged again and again. I knew he loved me, I pray he knew I loved him too despite the tears and screams and fears and dreams. His twin brother Jody cared for my father when he couldn’t provide for himself; Jody succumbed to leukemia in October.
