ASTRO AUGUST CHALLENGE DAY 9: You get to pick ASTRO’s next concept.
Dream Part 02 would be based on a comic book concept featuring high school ASTRO. Of course, it would also center around the concept of a dream.
The main character of the music video is a regular student (and would, as has been done in previous music videos, represent AROHA). She struggles with the hardships and monotony of everyday life and often wishes she could have the exciting lives that the boys of ASTRO, a band at her school, seem to have.
She is alone quite often, so she creates lots of drawings and stories featuring the boys to pass the time. In her comics, they are regular high school boys in a a band by day but exciting superheroes by night.
She goes to sleep after a long day, not knowing where her dreams would end up taking her that night. When she opens her eyes she discovers that she’s entered a strange world. Everything is grey, including herself, and she realizes that she’s been launched into one of the comics she drew earlier that night.
Not knowing what to do or how to escape, she searches everywhere for a way out. She tries to open the door to the D.STORE but it’s locked. While looking around, she notices a strange object on the ground in front of the deserted store.
Curious, she picks it up and turns it on. Suddenly, a bright light fills the dream and the curious object (a ro-bong) starts to glow in color.
With the light enter six familiar figures– ASTRO, but in their superhero forms as she’d so often drawn them (capes? LOL… maybe they carry magical robongs… IDK). Each member has the ability to recolor the grey world with their color (refer to the members’ + aroha drink colors). They take her on a journey through the world she’s created and remind her of the colorful, bright, and adventurous side of life that she’d forgotten.
When she wakes up from her dream, she’s back in her room and it’s time for school again, but she sees that all of her drawings have mysteriously been colored.
