“Donald Trump does not show respect for human dignity. That’s what I want him to do. Respect people and make decisions based on respect. I’ve experienced a lot of disrespect in my life. It robs people of dignity and their natural power to take care of themselves and others. So many people today have been considerate, kind, and helpful. There is a lot of concern and some anger, because he has insulted a lot of people, but the overall sense is very positive. This is the first time I feel optimistic since the day Trump was elected. It has been a heavy weight to carry. This is the test of our democracy. Can our democracy stand?”

“The families are teaching their little kids this amazing lesson that it doesn’t have to be like this if they are active. And the pink hats are blowing me away. What would it be without the pink hats? It’s the icing on the cake. This march is a demonstration of love for each other. Even though everybody is really mad about what’s happening, I see more signs about our rights than I see about hating Trump. We don’t really know him, but we know what he represents. There is no dignity and that’s important for a leader to have. Whenever I listen to him I feel like I am in a back of a bar room. It doesn’t feel like there is any respect.”

“I think the number of little girls and small children here is the most amazing thing ever. The moms are bringing their kids to show them that this is not OK and we have to do something about it. Someone shouted, ‘Raise your hand if you are a feminist.’ This little girl goes, ‘Mom, what’s a feminist?’ I thought that was the coolest thing.”

I think a lot of his supporters that I’ve talked to are simply ignorant and angry about the way their life is, so they blame the government. They hear a man say, ‘I am not the government. “The vibe today is totally different from yesterday’s inauguration. There was a mix of people with different believes around. There was just something in the air where no one quite knew what may happen. Today is totally positive and I feel in the majority for sure. The overall message is very broad. That’s because women issues are related to every other single issue. Any issue you can name affects women in different and specific ways. That’s why women need to be considered when you consider any issue. Obviously, the sign we are holding talks about bodily autonomy. We truly believe in a government so small that it wouldn’t reach its hands into our genitals. They want a government so big that it can reach as far as my house and inside my vagina. I am not OK with that.”

“I read The Art of the Deal back in the 90s. I became a Trump fan then. I’ve been a believer of reconstructing the American business enterprise. It’s the economy. It’s getting the people to work in the industries. People complain about his bravado, but he is real. He is not perfect, but he isn’t plastic either. He is not a product. I could be wrong, but I believe what you see is what you get with this guy.”

A reporter said, ‘Mr. Trump, it’s not that nice to use that term.’ Trump said, ‘Well…what would you like me to use instead?’ The fellow said this long word that I wouldn’t even know what it meant if I heard it. Trump said, ‘Ohhh…I think I am going to stick with what I was saying.’ You know, like a dog laying down? That perked up my ears. I thought this guy is talking to me the way I understand. He puts stuff in street terms. It wasn’t a long-drawn-out-boring speech. I was able to follow along and understand. He had my full attention.” “He got me into it. Trump came out to my high school that I graduated from. I thought that was pretty cool. After that I kind of started following him. I do like his vulgarness. I like how he speaks his mind and doesn’t care what anybody else thinks. It might be wrong, but it’s different and maybe that’s just what we need.”

“I think we should have a country that is restored back to law and order. Look at the protests today. They are the prime example of the unruliness that is running rampant in this country. I had people kick me and push me. Fortunately, they were police officers there. If it wasn’t because of them, I wouldn’t have been able to make it through. They are as law abiding as we are and they are protecting us. It’s really important for us to return to justice and order. Without that strong foundation, the society would fall.”

Is he going to be a good president? I don’t know. Can we trust him? I don’t know. But, I know one thing. If Hillary got in there, it would’ve been the end of this country as we know it. It’s becoming so apparent that we are on a dead end street and it’s designed that way. I am not like all these little sheep out there that believe everything that comes on CNN, popular polls, and crap. I actually do my research and read. I know who Edward Bernays was. I know the mind control that our government employs through corporate America to control the way we are."
