I wish they did more with the bacchanal outfits. Imagine every time they partook in cannibalism, the world got a little bit more fantastical. By the time they eat Javi, the world is almost fully fantastical. With mass delirium caused by hunger and Lottie’s wilderness cult, it’s almost like they’re having a good time (peak copium).

The frog scientists stumble upon them during a bonfire and BAM the audience sees the YJs for what they truly are and it’s terrifying. But then it slips back into fantasy as the girls hunt them for sport but the scientists are able to call for help. When help arrives later, the fantasy completely breaks and the audience sees a bunch of terrified, gaunt girls who desperately need some real clothes and shower.
