Searching For The Big 5

Finally arrived to the magical wilderness of Greater Kruger in northeast of South Africa. Now it was time to head out into the bush to see if we could find the big 5; elephant, lion, rhino, leopard and buffalo, but also so many more amazing animals that lives here.

As many of you know, I’m a long-time wildlife and nature enthusiast. I've always been inspired by nature documentaries, especially those narrated by the legendary Sir David Attenborough. So when I had the opportunity to go on safari in Kruger National Park, I knew this was more than just a trip - it was a unique chance to produce my own wildlife documentary in vlog format.

📹 Throughout the journey, I’ve been filming, editing, and narrating - aiming to combine cinematic visuals with real, raw experiences. It’s been a challenge, but also an incredibly rewarding creative process.

(Life update)

A while ago my girlfriend and I made a bold decision to leave our great jobs to embark on a journey to the other side of the world. I hope with this opportunity to evolve both personally and professionally by challenging myself, exploring new cultures, meeting incredible people, telling inspiring stories and learning new skills. (In Swedish) Det är med min vän Erik Barr som jag tänkt att varje vecka sätta mig ner och prata kors över Atlanten om allt och ingenting.

It's been a hectic few weeks! Mainly because I'm now working two different jobs at the same time as I try to experience this wonderful summer of 2023!

Althrough my life I've been striving to make my passion my profession and in many ways I've already managed to do this in one way or another which I'm so grateful for!

It's been video making, scuba diving, underwater photography, running a glamping business or coffee making. I think it's important to be invested in what I'm doing in order to keep developem stay inspired and do a good job.

In the end of may I started a job involving my biggest passion, the sport Orienteering. Since I was 11 years old I have been running orienteering and I can say it's the one thing that has paved the way through my life and I'm beyond happy to have been forced into this small world of great individuals. Because of this joy and all the memories I have created around this sport, I'm so stoked to be able to work and give back to the development of this movement.

And on top of that I'll be working within my field of expertise, communication and media production, isn't that just a perfect fit?? I'll be travelling around the world to cover competitions and other events to create stories visually and with writing about this beautiful sport I love.

At Björkholmen's Glamping, we're gearing up for a new season! Our team has been hard at work developing new features, including a brand new logo that we're absolutely thrilled with.

A three week diving expedition in Costa Rica

Watch how we prepared for a 3 week adventure och sailed out into the pacific to explore some of the best diving spots in the world (& how we almost got kicked off one of the worlds largest marine national parks haha) . . I find most of my passion project unfortunately gets deprioritized. 😩 You know how it is, stuff gets in the way... work... bills got to be paid... And after a few more months it just doesn't feel as exciting anymore. The bigger the project is, the more difficult I experience it is to start up the project again. This one got sitting waaay to long on the hard drives and I struggled a lot to put it together! I had soo much footage and only a brief storyboard of what I wanted to produce.

First week at Björkholmens Glamping

What a summer week here at Björkholmens Glamping!

Wow... I couldn't even have imagined a better start when I started a Glamping in Sweden... And it's be so much fun. First week open at Björkholmens Glamping and me and mum have been fully booked!? But the most fun part has been that I've had friends come visit & I've been able to show them our lovely home here outside Veddige next to Stora Hornsjön. This is a great way to go on vacation at home (hemester or staycation) and experience wild nature. The idea of Glamping is for the guests to arrive to a fully equipped tent, nice beds and just a cozy environment in the middle of the nature. Here's its excellent to swim, rent a canoe or stand up paddleboard to explore the lake. Björkholmens Glamping is located in Halland, Sweden (sverige), close to gothenburg.

Next week we're also full but August, bring it on! Welcome!

The work goes on in full force to finish the new branch to my business! I'm super stoked to finally open up Björkholmens Glamping in Veddige, Halland this weekend! Björkholmens Glamping

So a new project has begun! After the Van build I started feeling comfortable about creating something with my bare hands. This idea started to grow inside me a few months ago, "how about starting a Glamping business!?" easy and comfy camping but in nature. To reconnect and relax while enjoying activities in the nature, that's what I love!

As many of you already know I absolutely thrive in the place where my mother lives. The nature here is fantastic and I really feel like home! For a long time I've been thinking about how I can show and share this nature gem with others. Then I got the brilliant idea to start a glamping business by our lake. Glamping is glamorous camping, get the great camping feeling but no need to bring tent or sleeping bag, we got it sorted! The plan is to rent it out on Airbnb and host guests who wants a comfortable way to explore and experience the real beauty of the scandnavian forest. This summer I've furnished a big canvas tent and made it all cozy and nice. Hopefully I have time to make a vlog about this later but for now I want to get ready for my first guests!

THE END OF AN EPIC JOURNEY

In the summer of 2017 me and my best friend Robin set out on a very special journey. With nothing but our backpacks we were determined to travel from the most southern point of Sweden to the most north point WITHOUT ANY MONEY. We had decided to make an documentary out of it, but I didn’t really know more than that. Three years later and I can summarize this as my biggest project ever! And almost without any financial backing (except for all the people who helped us along the way of course). But we did it for them! and for us! and for all the memories and stories to be told. I’m so proud of us and feel such a joy and relief that we have finally taken this project to the finish line. There’s now 26 episodes online, that’s more than 7 hours of content!? That will live on in an eternity. 

“The freeloader trip” continues!

One of my biggest projects “Snyltresan” is the 25 days long hitchhiking trip  did with Robin through Sweden without any money. it was the summer of 2017 we set out on this great adventure. It was going to get tough, uncomfortable but also life changing experience of joy and love from strangers and newly found friends. 

Me and my best friend Robin did the trip back in 2017 thinking we would have a third party to take on the editing and pitch the production to a tv-channel or production company, something that never happened. So this year in April when Covid-19 hit and I was stuck on a boat in Indonesia for two months I finally had time to continue the prodcuction of this documentary series. Now there’s not many episodes left and I can finally see the “light in the tunnel”. It’s been a great adventure and it felt great to be able to work towards finishing this great project, for our own sake but also for all the people that helped us along the way. Now it’s out on YouTube and of course we hope that there’s an interest to follow our journey along our beautiful country. So please, have a look!
