Josephine listened patiently to the rambling, letting him talk before she responded. “Turning it off and on again only works for software issues. What happened to it? Did you drop it? Is there lines on the screen? Dropped in water?” Josephine asked, closing her books so that she could better help even if she had a lot going on- she couldn’t say no. 

“There’s no lines on the screen, but I may have dropped it-... into a bowl of cereal.” Hugo added, looking a little bit sheepish as he admitted to what he had done, but in his defense he didn’t think it would have caused any problems. Clearly he was wrong. “Now it just sort of, does what it wants to.”

Watching as Hugo was clearly unable to keep his amusement in, Billie’s shift in expression only drove the third party’s opinion home. “You being my twin brother doesn’t automatically protect you from my wrath, you know that right? You of all people should know just how good I am at holding a grudge,” she muttered grumpily. “I mean that has to be the only reason they’d say something like that right? But I can be peppy! I can be peppy right? Mom’s great at being peppy. Annoyingly so.”

“I’m aware of that, but part of me believes that we’re linked in some twin telepathy kind of way. So really by hurting me, you’ll be hurting yourself too.” Hugo pointed out to the other with a grin. “Also I know how to get you out of a grudge, withholding pie normally does the trick, that and coffee.” Hugo looked at the other and let out a small noise, “See, that’s one thing you didn’t pick up from Mom, you sort of side with Dad when it comes to enthusiasm, maybe your pep was too forced and therefore they thought your overall persona was-... kinda bitchy.”

Josephine sighed as she looked up from her workbooks, “You know, just because I’m a technology fairy doesn’t mean I instantly know how to fix your phone.” Josephine spoke, always so focused within her school work that she never really liked being interrupted during her designated study period. “Did you try putting it in rice?” She suggested 

“I wasn’t asking you because you were a technology fairy, that’d be like me saying that because I’m an animal fairy I can fix your dog. And a lot of the times that won’t be the case, especially if it has a broken leg of grade four spinal issues.” He rambled before clearing his throat, “But I was just asking if you knew what I should do other then switching it on and off again because I’m terrible with technology. Unless it’s memes, I’m brilliant with memes.” He pointed out. “I-... did not, I mean, it’s not like I have rice lying around in my room.”

“They told me my resting bitch face was too strong– are you kidding me?” Billie grumbled to the other, not caring if they were listening closely to her or not. “I don’t have resting bitch face, right? I mean– what the hell kind of argument is that even in the first place?”

Hugo had chose the wrong point to take a sip from his hot chocolate because as soon as his sister spoke it was being spurted back through his lips, his hand coming up to cover his mouth to try and stop the spray as he coughed, choking on the liquid. “They really said that to your face? That’s genius, who was it- I feel like I need to go give them a hug, a muffin basket... maybe just pay them for their services.” He snickered. “I mean... it’s sort of resting bitch-esque. You totally get it from Mom by the way.” He pointed out to the other. “Are they supposed to be a peppy character? Maybe you need more pep?”

River let out a small laugh at the other. “Yeah, okay,” he said. “Nice try, but that is not the answer. The answer is twenty four. You used the wrong equation.”

“Oh no. How ever will I live with myself now.” Hugo commented, his tone bland as he looked at his paper and then back at the other. “There is a reason I didn’t choose to take mathematics as a subject here and this is why- they shouldn’t include it in other topics. It’s not like I’m going to need this in my daily life.”
