I didn’t know where you were, you could have gotten run over by your own Bouffy and I wouldn’t have known, you’d just be this flat pancake in the middle of a Route with a huge pokémon sitting on you!

[Besides, Kyou would just get mad if he followed him too much. Hugh had a tendency to yell at him and get mad, something he must have noticed since the hole accident. He just didn't want to become unreasonable in such a way, that the other would start hating him.]

Well.. that's true, but.. Her pokémon had priority! Besides, why would I follow you around after our journeys are over?! I much more prefer it to have you follow me, really. It was easier that way.

What is with this following thing?! I never established with you that I would follow you around like a dog all the time. If anything, you should be the one following me! Honestly, whenever you run off on your own, it's worrisome.

Pushing himself up - only to find he got slammed back down since a certain someone had seated themselves atop him, the brunet’s only response was a loud whine of irritation, followed by unsuccessful rolling. “Gettt ooooff!” The trainer wheezed and slurred, “Besties don’t kill their besties!”

"Now get up!"

And by this time, he had dropped back down, gripped his pillow, and rolled one eighty onto his stomach before slamming his face into the cushion with a certain finality. In short, he wanted to sleep, and in no way was he getting up for some trainer battle. The plant pokemon that had sat by his side the whole morning was quite open to waving at Hugh in place of her trainer.

He then spontaneously decided to lie down on the other because, well, if Kyou could sleep, then Hugh might as well sleep on top of him.

“Does it have to be?” He asked, blinking at himself for the question as soon as it left his lips. Chewing on the bottom one, he knitted his brows together in some sort of confusion for the outburst, but at the same time it had felt nice and he figured he could probably even fall asleep to Hugh’s kisses— to his shoulders, of course.
