Dear toddler regressors here's some tips and tricks on how to go to bed like a proper toddler.

-refuse to go to sleep when offered and act extremely offended they asked

-throw yourself on the floor screaming and crying when they insist it's time for bed

-Bargain with them, you'll go to bed if you get a glass of milk

-refuse to go to sleep without a bed time story

-pretend to go to sleep .. and then walk into your care givers room 5 minutes later saying you couldn't sleep.

-Crawl into the caregivers bed,sprawl out taking up the whole bed, and finally fall asleep

You’re not a bad a kid if

-you’re a picky eater

-you cry a lot

-you don’t regress like others do

-you have melt downs

- you go non speaking

-you have big feelings

-you can’t do something

-you have accidents

-you’re loud

-you’re clumsy

-you have trouble regulating your emotions

-you have scary thoughts

-you’re messy

You’re a good kid. You don’t have to have it all figured out or keep it together all the time. It’s okay to have big feelings, it’s okay to mess up, it’s okay to have thoughts that scare you when regressed. There’s nothing wrong with you, you’re not bad. It’s okay if your regression doesn’t look like their regression. You’re doing your best.
