Homestuck Headcanons!

Intro Post!!

Basically as soon as everyone gets to Earth C, Karkat’s emotional regulation goes to shit since he’s had to spend his whole life repressing it so that he doesn’t endanger himself.

If sburb never happened Dave's first car would have been some shit box old truck ENTIRELY so he could make a joke about forgetting his keys in the locked vehicle and go 'oh well anyway' and pull the window down with his hand to lean in and get the keys because the window mechanism doesn't work anymore.

This is sort of based in how animals with horns use them, bugs especially, but I like to imagine that early on when trolls had a like caveman sort of stage they would use their horns like antlers or how some beetles do to fight and that being how they showed status, after the hemospectrum was established though the higher up you were the more prestine and well taken care of your horns looked, while lower castes occasionally still use theirs to tussle in a sense, though mostly as play fighting among wrigglers.

I don't believe this anymore because it probably won't make much sense realistically, but I used to have a headcanon that some of the colors in the caste system were made by colors mixing in the slurry, and this came from me playing with the highlighters on the ICL website in school and learning that if you put highlighter yellow over fushia it makes a sort of bronze brown color

To add to Dave being scared of snakes davesprite being double scared of snakes because snakes eat crows and crow eggs. Dave will lean away and act like they don't bother him though they very much do, Davesprite reacts more because of the crow stuff

Piggybacking in Dave going to a public school I imagine rose had a couple different tutors over the years, John went to some form of private school, and jade was homeschooled by her grandpa before he died everything after that was books she read or the internet. Girlie has a third grade education but a college reading level

I like to think that trolls struggle with hardcore cuteness aggression, Alternian more so than Beforan, but Beforan trolls still have it.
