Braeriach (Am Bràigh Riabhach: Speckled top / The Brindled Top) 4252ft
Cairn Toul (Càrn an t-Sabhail: Stony hill of the Barn) 4236ft
Sgòr an Lochain Uaine (Jagged peak of the Green Lochan) 4127ft

We just call them “Hills.” Scotland, the only place on earth that makes molehills out of mountains :D Must be because Beag means “Small.”

Things in Harry Potter that will never make sense
wizard children need their parents signed permission to go to perfectly safe village full of candy shops next to the school but not to enter a tournament in which you can most definitely die
Though you're supposed to be of age when you enter the tournament ..
Regarding spoilers: a poll
The Outlander tv show is my current obsession. I enjoy reading and commenting on reviews of the episodes, because there’s nothing I like better than having discussions with people who enjoy something as much as I do.
In the process of doing so, I have encountered the same snag that Game of Thrones watchers have: non-book readers. If I wish to make a comment on how a treatment of a particular event in the show might effect the plot of later books, is it the height of rudeness to not go to elaborate lengths to avoid spoiling those who haven’t read the books, even though the series has been out for more than two decades?
Personally, I watched several seasons of Game of Thrones, and it didn’t bother me to read spoiler-filled discussions of the book plots from other viewers, mostly because I had no intentions of ever reading the books (I attempted to do so, but didn’t enjoy them) and I never was very good with surprises.
Thoughts?
I feel like you should be able to talk about book things, because there are other people out there that have read the books. Just put a spoiler alert on the top. Spoilers are everywhere and sometimes I feel like people just want to read spoilers. Sometimes i read the wiki page to find out what will happen but i still love reading it anyway
i’ve only read the first outlander book and im trying to decide if I should read the others?
I’m so bad about actively seeking out spoilers, like you sometimes do. I get so excited about things that I want to know everything about them. I watched last season of Game of Thrones with a friend, and it was so, so hard to bite my tongue sometimes when I knew something crazy was about to happen.
I would say if you enjoyed the first book in the series and you’re enjoying the show, go ahead and read the rest of the series. Personally, I love the books, and consider Jamie and Claire to be some of my all-time favorite characters. I find the historical aspects of the series to be quite well-researched, and I love how Gabaldon has portrayed the clashes between modern perspectives and that of those living in the past.
I enjoy reading about a family/group of people spanning multiple generations and I think Gabaldon’s done a great job making all of the new characters she introduces compelling and well-developed. Some aspects of the story have me scratching my head and wondering what the odds of that happening would be, but never to the point where I have to suspend my disbelief. Overall, it’s a very entertaining series. Plus, the books are huge, so if you are a quick reader like I am, it’ll still take you a couple of days to get through one of them. The series will keep you in reading material for a long time.
I think you've sold me :) .... I'm trying to focus on graduating from Univeristy right now so k probably shouldn't start reading the second one until after... I ate it up in less than 2 days and wasnt really doing anything else ...
But I like telling my roommate how things happen in the book when we watch the episodes together... Have you seen the lastest episode? Bc I liked how the craigh na dune thing happened in the book over the show where he pushed her to touch the stone
If you love something, let it go. If it comes back to you, it’s yours forever.

OUTLANDER
I am waiting for a client to show up. Therefore, I can ask stupid questions.
Regarding the time travel aspect of OUTLANDER: People from the future can travel to the past and return if they are lucky to their time? Can a time traveler originate from the past and travel to the future?
I read the first book and what I think is anyone can pass back and forth, without luck but only certain people can travel back and forth. Potentially people can travel from the past, but only if it’s a certain person?

Can’t have manly characters being cheesy? Solution: de-age and they can be as unrepentantly adorable as I want them to be.
