You're making a police report??
A group of rooms stayed for several weeks and one Saturday morning the boss came and told our front desk they were all gone and checking out. He requested all of the receipts and she gave them to him.
A few hours later a housekeeper came to the desk and said there were some items left in the room and one suitcase. The hk and fd per our policy had the hk put the items together and brought to the desk.
Another few hours later the man came back looking for his things, got them left and an hour later came back wanting to know who cleaned his room because a pound of drugs was missing from his bag.
I was in the area and came by to address the situation after the man confronted my housekeeper. Once I arrived the story elaborated into , I have money, clothing and my drugs missing and we aren’t paying for our rooms. (We had of course been charging the cc already for their rooms so they’d already paid.) I informed him our next course of action would be to file a police report and he said he’d like that!
Police arrive and get his story. Next they come inside and speak with me and my front desk and are laughing the entire time because the man is not telling him about the missing drugs and he knows that we are all telling the truth. The policeman knows we are all protected by the registration cards that the guy signed and there’s nothing that they can do except file a report and there will be no investigation. And the policeman informs us the complaintent is drunk.
Later that afternoon my desk girl calls to say that the phone is missing from one of the other rooms they’d stayed in. Oh how people never cease to amaze me!!
