The constitution was written by human traffickers who believed in freedom for themselves but not for the people they're trafficking. You can't expect a document written by filth like that to be gospel.

Also, the constitution doesn't allow police to kill people. The constitution doesn't allow ICE to kidnap people without due process and put them in concentration camps. The constitution doesn't allow most searches that police perform. The constitution doesn't allow laws against victimless actions. But they still happen. If hurting people can still happen when the constitution doesn't allow it, then helping people can too.
