he reaches for me in his sleep, calls out to me, caresses and kisses me.
they treat me like im the most beautiful thing he’s ever seen. encourages me to try harder, push myself a little further every day.
he says the things no one wants to hear, because they know i need to hear it.
they always miss me, even if we’re 10 feet apart. they always want to hold me, touch me, be near me.
he’s always thinking about me. talking to me throughout the day, updating me on cool things they find. they’re sending me things i think i would look good in, would like, or would find funny.
they tell me about their dreams. there is nothing more on this planet i want than to make them come true. his ideas are unending, their mind amazes me.
i find myself thinking about who i would be without him. i know i would be okay, but would i be where i’m at right now? probably not.
so much has happened between me and my partner in the last 5 years, it feels we have molded into one being. he is me and i am him. we are one in the same, breathing life and meaning and love into one another.
he told me once, that even if we were little balls of energy floating through space, they’d find their way back to me.
i hope we are lovers in every lifetime.
