thinking about silna today and how they made her a great character instead of regulating her to GirlBoss she's so multifaceted and human

actually i want to expand on her compassion because i think that's something that the terror fandom misses about her because of how she overtly acts toward the crew. she's angry with them for killing her dad, she's scared and alone on a ship full of strangers (strange MEN, what woman wouldn't be terrified?), and now she has this huge responsibility to take on unexpectedly which she is aware is targeting these men that she's so distrustful and wary of and yet she still makes a point to try and keep them safe from tuunbaq even though she owes them nothing. less than nothing because they killed her father. she is not cold, she is so very caring and the only reason it doesn't show as much is because of the circumstances in which she was brought into their world. but she still cares.
