My last prescription had expired, and I only had 1 month worth of contacts left. I also have glasses as a backup, but I much prefer wearing contacts.

Just for kicks, I went to 1-800 Contacts’ website. It turns out they’re offering FREE online eye exams.

All you have to do is answer a few questions (tell them your name, age, how long ago your last eye doctor appointment was, what U.S. state you live in), take some pictures of your eyes so they can check for irritation and redness, and read some letters from 10 feet away from your computer. It only took me 10 minutes to do all of that.

Then, within 24 hours an eye doctor reviews your information and issues you a prescription.

That’s it! It was really simple and easy, and most of all it was free. I also didn’t have to talk to anyone!!

I got my new prescription just 3 hours after I did the “exam,” and I’ve already preferred a new year supply of contacts. I’m really amazed at how easy this was, especially when I’ve been dreading running out of contacts during the pandemic.

Obviously, the 1-800 Contacts eye exam isn’t a substitute for a real, in-person exam. But it’s the best most people can do right now.

That’s not a botched robbery or a serial killer, that’s a professional assassination. Someone with money and political power, someone you might have voted for, planned and paid for this homicide.

When I was a child, from the time I was about four and could understand things, my mom told me and my brother that we should have a secret word. That way, if we were ever in trouble or felt unsafe and we didn’t want the people around us to know we needed her to come get us, we could let her know. So she let us pick the word and my brother and I chose the phrase “peanut butter cups.” (I’m happy to share the phrase now since both my brother and I are adults now). 

I used the phrase twice in my life. Once, I was at a friends house when I eight years old. Her dad got really drunk and was throwing things against the wall. I was really scared and I didn’t want to draw attention to myself on the phone when I called my mom to come get me because I didn’t know if he would get more violent if I asked her to come get me. So I called her and was calm and after a couple minutes I asked “Hey mommy, did you get me those peanut butter cups from the store?” And she said “I’ll be right there.” And she came and got me within minutes. 

Second, I was a teenager spending the night at a friends house. Her brother and dad were drinking and they started talking about things that made me uncomfortable - ie: what they liked to do to women. My friend didn’t seem perturbed and said that was normal for them and that I shouldn’t worry. But I was worried because they were really drunk and I was 15 and the only ‘woman’ around that wasn’t related to them. I went in my friends room, told her I needed to call my mom and say goodnight. Before I hung up with her I asked “Next time we go to the store, can we get some peanut butters cups? I’ve been craving them.” And she came and got me, just like that. 

Ohio “re-opened” without vaccines. effective therapeutics, sufficient ventilators, or adequate PPE/disinfectant, so workers will risk their lives if they go back to their jobs. But what Ohio DOES have is a snitchform for bosses when this happens.

That way, bosses can punish workers who are reluctant to throw themselves into volcanoes to appease the economy gods by getting their unemployment benefits taken away, subjecting them to homelessness and starvation.

But as good as the state government of Ohio is at ruthlessly terrorizing workers, they’re much worse at securing webforms, which is why it’s possible to run a script that sends thousands and thousands of plausible fake reports to the form.

The script combines names from an online fake name generator with a list of the state’s 100 top employers to generate fake data. The state has since updated its captcha but the script’s author promises to have a workaround soon.

The script was packaged as a command-line tool that lets users send fake reports in the background as they work by software engineer David Ankin.

That guy is Frank Welker and he is not just a voice actor, he is THE voice actor. 

If there is an animated movie or show out there, Frank Welker probably did a voice in it. His filmography is HUGE, he is the the #1 most credited actor out there, his combined movies have over 6 billion dollars in revenue, which doesn’t account for his many uncredited roles. 

This is the voice actor for Megatron from Transformers. After the original voice actor passed away, he took over as Scooby Doo. In fact, if there is a credit for ‘additional voices’ in a movie, animated or otherwise, it might be Frank Welker, he is a god of animals voices. 

Abu from Aladdin? Frank Welker 

Nibbler from Futurama? Frank Welker and that’s whether it was his cute animal voice or his mighty talkin’ voice.
