Last song: “Horns” by Bryce Fox. Randomly came up in a playlist and I think I like it! Makes good use of dynamics and has an interesting, urgent beat with a dark tone that’s also a little cheeky and flirtatious. 

Last movie: Equals starring Kristen Stewart and Nicholas Hoult. I signed up for a Showtime subscription and it was suggested to me (much like the random song I mentioned). It wasn’t bad! The atmosphere and aesthetics were the strongest elements for me; the story itself was rather simple, which isn’t a bad thing. 

Currently watching: Bungo Stray Dogs. It’s one of those anime people me tell all the time that I’ll like, and I finally decided to dive in after months (years?) of putting off. Once I finish it, I’ll be binging another series I’ve been putting off.

Currently reading: The Good Immigrant, an anthology edited by Nikesh Shukla and Chimene Suleyman. It’s a collection of 26 essays that explore immigration in modern America. The writers are all first- or second-generation immigrants; I highly recommend this work to just about anybody, really.

Currently craving: Tomorrow is Tom’s birthday, and we’re getting cronuts (hybrid croissant + donuts)! I’ve been thinking about them all week, haha. My favorite is the ultra simple cinnamon-sugar cronut, followed by the one they slather in Nutella and bananas. Super delicious!

Last song: “My Jolly Sailor Bold” by Ashley Serena. I have only one Spotify playlist and hold basically everything I ever like listening to. It was quite a switch from the faster paced music that was coming up, but this is such a beautiful song I can’t help but listen to it every time. 

Last movie: Big Fish I don’t know why I do this to myself I just end up crying every time.

 Currently watching: Alternating between Hannibal, Pushing Daisies, and The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance. I love almost every show that was made by Bryan Fuller (pls someone tell me if he is toxic or problematic) and Pushing Daisies has just enough hope and sappiness that I need in my life at the moment.

Reason for my url: o-dragon was my fanfiction handle that I made back in 2005 and returned to write fanfiction on in 2017 when I published my first fic in YEARS, On Dating a Demon.  o-dragon was already taken, so I added the 05 to denote when I started writing fic.

Random fact: That Bleach fanfic that I referenced above is called “A Thousand Lifetimes of Paper Cranes” and I’ve been writing some rendition of it since the fall of 2008. At first it was Caged Lark, then it became Beyond the Fading Sun, which I published under a different handle, girlofeverycolor. I eventually gave it up and many of the themes and plot ideas that I was planning to include in BtFS became the MAJOR themes and plot points of On Dating a Demon. A Thousand Lifetimes is completely re-worked into something that I LOVE and is definitely a project of my heart and soul. I’ll publish it when I finish it on my o-dragon handle one of these days.

Reason for my url: SO! Fun Story, I used to be known as Shaolin Zelda throughout the internet, but realizing that bitch had way too much drama, I searched for a new name. I was on thesaurus.com and just clicked through words and found Sardonic. The example they used was “Sardonic Grin” and I was like “bitchin’” and that became my pen name. When I joined tumblr, that name was taken, so I made it “agrinsosardonic”.

Reason for my url: “StarCharter” was taken, so I mashed up “StarCharter” with “Lucky Child” to get “LuckyStarChild.” One of my favorite quotes mentions “charting the stars,” so I fiddled with the wording to get “Star Charter.” I chart the stars in my dreams, or something. I’m not feeling poetical today.

Random fact: I can’t touch my face with my dominant hand. As a result, I don’t wear makeup, but if pressed, I can put on eyeliner one-handed with my non-dominant hand. It’s a skill.
