Jason fucking Todd, fucked up mind to the EXTREME. pit issues, childhood issues, Bruce issues; he has a lot of... well. issues.

he never feels safe. he can't feel safe. the pit sings in his veins and fills his very being with irritated anxiety. he struggles to sleep, develops eyes in the back of his head, and can't focus clearly in a room unless he has at least two exits mapped out and available to him.

the only person he can feel safe around? Damian. his baby brother.

Damian has been ferocious and overprotective from the beginning. back in the league, when Jason was just a mindless angry zombie following Talia's orders, Damian adopted Jason as his brother and refused to leave his side. ensured Jason ate food when he couldn't remember to take care of himself, watched his back when in dangerous environments, and was there to keep an eye out when Jason was too paranoid to sleep.

Damian is the baby brother, and he will always look to Jason for help and protection, but that instinctive sense of safety goes both ways, and i just think a look into their relationship centric to that from Jason's side would be so fucking cool.

like, Jason having a panic attack in the cave, and nobody can get close. he's barely breathing, lashing out at anybody who dares to touch him, and he clearly isn't present enough to hear anything Dick, Bruce, or Tim say. they've never seen him like this before. they're lost, they don't know what to do, and they only get more worried when in his panic Jason starts hurting himself.

the only person who can get close? Damian. Damian, who slips over to Jason's feet, starts humming a league lullaby, and places his small hand on Jason's chest, reminding him that he's there. Jason isn't present at all, but he instinctively remembers the feeling of that hand, the tone of that voice, and he remembers: safe.

GOSH, I wish YYH's cast had a more aggressive roster of ladies (actually just a larger roster in general) so this could happen naturally! Shizuru is basically the only one I can see flirting with NQK at this stage, but the age difference and general story tension might be a barrier to anything serious.

Still, though. NQK NEEDS TO FLIRT WITH A LADY, DAMMIT! I can flirt with dudes without breaking much of a sweat, but in the face of a pretty lady I turn into a wreck.

They find the perfect coffee shop tucked away on a side street. Plenty of tables, so they don't feel bad taking one for an extended period. Delicious drinks, great ambiance, 10/10 vibes...

Well, almost 10/10. There's just one problem.

It's the goddamn barista.

He's cute. Too cute. Girls keep coming in to flirt with him. But that disruption is a small issue compared to how goddamn annoying this motherfucker is about coffee. Every time Kei orders a drink, he gets this patronizing look on his face about their choices that Kei can't fucking stand. It started off as the most subtle of comments Kei was certain they were misinterpreting. A mild smile Kei thought they were imagining. But when they decided to fire back with a comment about the cafe's selection, their exchange with the too-pretty, judgmental barista soon evolves into outright bickering.

"Oh, you want a caramel macchiato?" he asks when they change up their order and just want a sweet treat. "Yes. I suppose that's pleasant enough for someone with your palate."

Kei bristles and retorts something and the half-drunk cup of hipster brew sitting at Kurama's elbow that's way overpriced and not even that great to begin with. Soon they're engaging in full-voice debates about coffee brewing techniques and bean quality. All the other employees watch as their usually unflappable boss loses his cool for the first time in their hearing.

Great question! NQKagome is much less die-hard about masking than NQKeiko. NQKeiko's desire to mask is born of trauma and anxiety colliding, and NQKagome has always been much more easygoing. As a result, she didn't come away from the process of rebirth with the paranoia shown by 2020!NQK.

I actually ended up elaborating on the reason 2020!NQK masks in a chapter of RIOT CHILD, which you can at the link below.

I'll also state that in a future RIOT CHILD chapter, you'll end up seeing both Minato and Kagome masking while in proximity to NQKeiko in order to make them feel more comfortable. While they didn't have the same trauma response, they understand and are sensitive to NQKeiko's preferences, and they do their best to make them comfortable in group settings.

Long story short: Even in this AU for LC, the Not Quites stick together and support each other... through thick, sick and thin.
