I do LOVE how most of the comments started making "best trio" comments, some even calling them the Slytherin/Emerald trio. And I do hope that some of them get inspired to make edits of them cuz then it would go harddd....
The Draco+Albus+Scorpius trio >>> legit any other slytherin trio (No offense btw)
So there has been a lot of discourse on Billie Eilish's statement and while I would love to share my opinions abt the whole thing, today is not the day.
No. I'm here to bitch abt yalls acting as if veganism and vegetarianism are "white" things and how they are racist and white supremacist.
As a brown vegetarian, I'm gonna tell you this sincerely: STFU!
Many, many POC were vegans/vegetarians since history began. Heck, my own religion encourages being a vegetarian!(Do ppl actually listen to that? Not really but our religion does still have a huge chunk of vegan/vegetarians)
And the funniest part is that most of the ppl talking abt "the racism" are very, very white. LMAO. And I don't think that they realise that THEY are the ones acting racist by insinuating that these diets originated from white ppl.
So I'm gonna pitch in abt the red button blue button thingy.
Cuz I don't think this is abt logic vs altruism
This is about trust.
Like yeah, I would like to think that I would press the blue button but idk how I would react if this scenario is a real life or death situation.
Cuz, no offense, but with the current state of the world, ain't no way imma gonna trust that more than 4 billion people would press the blue button.
Because we all LOVE to be heroes in hypotheticals but we would prolly react in entirely different ways in an actual life or death scenario. Panic responses tend to be very different so we may not react in the same way we would think that we would react.
(Some ppl who thinks of themselves as heroic might not actually be so. And ppl who think that they could never risk their lives could surprise themselves and actually be someone's hero in a dangerous situation. Again, panic responses are unpredictable.)
And most of the people who are arguing about this hypothetical are mostly people with comfortable lives who prolly had to face almost no risks(well... compared to the people who are suffering through wars and starvation or totalitarian regimes and severe systemic oppression). And that is why I get very angry by the blue button pressers who claim that they are being "selfless" and the red button pressers as "selfish".
Cuz most of those ppl don't actually show that they are blue pressers; they only tell.
Cuz if you are genuinely the sort of person to press the blue button irl, then you should be against all the wars that are happening in this world. You should be against all systemic oppression that happens(like sexism, racism, homophobia, etc) in the East AND the West(No, these issues still happen in the west no matter how many ppl continue to deny it[I ain't even a westerner and even I am shocked by the denial]). You should advocate for people's rights, join protests and boycotts, and be a good samaritan in general. You should also be against all types of exploitation even if it comes at the expense of your benefit(I am talking abt not being able to get your wants. Ofc if the exploitation causes you to get you what you need, then you can't really do much.)
If all the people who claim that they will definitely press blue actually meant it, then the world would already be a better place which it isn't so I am guessing that most of the people claim that for the sake of virtue signalling. Because there are SO, SO, SO MANY BLUE BUTTON PRESSERS.
Yet there are many people who refuse to vote and think that politics won't affect them. Isn't that technically also a red button presser coded behavior? There are so many people who refuse to boycott even fast food restaurants which basically support legit genocides. They are funding the deaths of random children the same way that red button pressers may cause the deaths of kids who press blue. Similar, isn't it? Heck there are people who do not stand up against a person facing oppression cuz they feel that they might potentially risk their social standing. Instead, they become bystanders. Again, that is not very blue button presser of you.
This also applies to people who claim that their actions which negatively impact the environment don't matter cuz the companies contribute a huge chunk to the environmental detriment. And they do not change their habits. And this is pretty similar to the red button pressers who believe that their individual actions won't impact the results much. Yet yall think that this is an excuse. I would bring up veganism but the red button-blue button thingy is a human prob, not an animal prob(Unrelated but even tho I ain't a vegan, I do 100% agree with Billie Eilish's take and I hate the cognitive dissonance that many of the anti-vegans seem to exhibit).
See I aint a perfect human being. I am not doing much to help the world either. But I would love to think that I am not a hypocrite. And I hate seeing people demonise each other over a fucking hypothetical when most of them probably don't even try to help the world in any way possible. If every blue button presser acted that way, then the world would def be a 1000x better.
Heck, the only person that I know of who I'm pretty sure would press the blue button and would be completely justified if she were to demonise the red button pressers would be Greta Thunberg. Cuz she is slay like that.
Because ultimately, this is supposed to be a moral dilemma and a philosophical question. There is no right answer. There are pros and cons to both options. And this problem should definitely not ignite such a huge social media wide argument.
Like if you believe that you would press the blue button, good for you. Act like that. Please. Contribute to the world and restore the trust in humanity that some of the red button pressers seem to not have. You could be one of the people who saved the world irl. If you don't, fine, but don't act like you are morally superior.
(I also have a problem with the "logical" red button pressers who seem to have no empathy whatsoever or are completely illogical[no, 8b people will NOT press the red button be fr!] but everyone calls them out and not enough people seem to call out the blue button pressers which was why I made this post.)
Seriously people going off about Delphi creepily targeting Albus is getting on my nervous. OF COURSE SHE IS!! She's the bad guy! Do you forget that bad guys have no morals and will do whatever they NEED to do to get what they want? DUH!!!
Is this ya'll first day on earth? (Welcome I guess...)
Second that- there is a difference between using her charms to seduce Albus as a molester then as a tool to get him to do a task. The one is not better then the other but it makes sense. It shows a character of little morals and high level of desperation. Also her future and destiny is mixed up solely with the choice Albus Potter makes. So of course she would do anything in her power to channel it in her favor.
Except it wasn't meant to do its job. The whole thing was treated as a joke even by the other characters. And that is the part that I dislike abt in the Cursed Child. And heck, the whole thing was clearly treated as a joke by the writers as well evidenced by that valentine's ship poll posted by the Cursed Child San Fran account.
Like there is a huge difference btwn skillfully and delicately writing out the whole relationship, and writing it as a "haha! Boy loves older women hehe!" thing. And even still, I would be totally chill by the other characters' reactions(cuz if this happened irl, ppl would still treat it as a joke so I do get it if they intended to mirror the real world) if the writers seemed to be srs abt it, which they were not.
So yeah the whole Albus/Delphi thing was prolly added as a big older woman kinda joke instead of actually serving a purpose which pisses me off.
Edit - Also, this is meant to be a play for children aged 8 and above so treating the whole Albus/Delphi thing as a joke is also pretty bad cuz then those kids might get the wrong idea from it. No, I ain't expecting any preachy lecture from the play. All they should do is not joke abt it(and in the new version of the play, they didn't which is a big W).
Oh the adults do take it seriously. It is not played up for laughs. And I shall reframe to only refering to the script, as each actor and each night may play at different angles etc.
(Also pardon for poor quality photos, I was trying to take pics while holding open the book.)
This is the scene everyone refers to:
ACT THREE, SCENE SEVENTEEN:
But the humor is lost on Harry. Ron just assume Albus has gone missing. But Harry clocks it already as something sinster.
ACT THREE, SCENE EIGHTEEN:
While Harry asumes Amos is the mastermind behind this not Delphi he considers whatever is going on, prison worthy.
ACT FOUR, SCENE ONE:
Hermione takes the threat to the Ministry- where Professor McGonagall rightly chastise her for keeping the timeturner which lead to the whole ordeal. (Which adds more layers to the issue but that is a whole other conversation.)
ACT FOUR, SCENE FIVE:
The two finally catch up with Harry and the others, they get right to busniess after they embrace. Not a punchline from Ron. Its how do we stop her.
ACT FOUR, SCENE NINE:
Between Harry and Ginny, its she who comments on her own tramua at the hands of Voldemort How SHE felt, and how Harry made her feel safe. This brings up what its like to be a victim and the bridge to healng.
ACT FOUR, SCENE ELEVEN:
It's here where Ginny comforts Albus, letting him know bad stuff happens. It's comforting and love. How she knows what its like to be taken advantage of. It's so well placed in the pace of the play and during a very action pack ending. A wonderful example of comfort.
So in short, I strongly read the play itself as taking Albus emotions seriously. Delphi used his need to make something of himself. While whatever others have said in regards the play itself takes Albus manpulation by Delphi as a real threat.
Tbf I kinda read those excerpts to be more of an "oh Amos' daughter could have potentially manipulated them into breaking 100s of laws yadda yadda" and the fear of the daughter of Voldemort, but your interpretation does make a whole lot more sense and does bring a lot of hope for me that the adults are srs abt this so imma change my opinion abt this.

Scorbus ship charts :33
Heck yeah!
Guys, I'm gonna rant cuz I feel like I'm the only one who noticed this BIG, BIG plothole from the cursed child which is wild cuz I'm a diehard fan...
And it does make me pissed off at the Cursed Child haters cuz look, y'alls have this one criticism that you could use but NOOOOO.... You gotta stick to the "plotholes" which could easily be refuted.
This plothole is from the second time Albus and Scorp travelled in time...
So idk how to explain this properly so I'll use some random hypothetical dates to explain it better so bear with me.
So let's say that Albus and Scorpius goes to the lake and time travels on Oct 20, 2020. I am going to reference this pre-dark timeline Scorpius as Scorpius 1. So they cast the engorgio charm on Cedric and this causes the creation of the dark timeline.
So according to Dolores Umbridge,
DOLORES UMBRIDGE: But in the three days since I found you in that lake on Voldemort Day,...[continues to talk smth smth]
Scorpius spent three days in the dark timeline. And this was before his visit to Draco's office and Scorpius meeting Snape and allat... So let's assume that he spent like 5 days in total in the alternate timeline. I'm going to call this Scorpius as Scorpius 2.
So yeah, when he first travels back with Snape, Ron and Hermione on Oct 25, 2020, he undos the expelliarmus and returns back to Oct 25, 2025. K now that makes sense.
Now when Scorpius 2 travels a second time back to the lake and undos the engorgio,.... he returns back to.... Oct 20th??????
And it aint like Albus was in some limbo or smth so they both just happened to be there at Oct 25. No. Because the parents and Prof McG almost instantly found them. So no, I'm pretty sure Albus wasn't in this weird limbo. Heck, Albus himself confirm that only 2 min passed.
So firstly,.... THAT DOES NOT MAKE SENSE.
And now onto my second point,...
ALBUS: Careful. Youβre drowning me. What are you wearing?
SCORPIUS: What am I wearing? (He pulls off his cloak.) What are you wearing? Yes! Youβre in Slytherin.
Okay so Scorp is still in his dark timeline uniform but somehow Albus' uniform suddenly changed to Slytherin??? Mind you, this was from the script and in the script, Albus still remembers very well his time in Gryffindor.... So if Scorpius' undo-ing of the expelliarmus charm made Albus timetravel in his Slytherin uniform(which makes sense btw since obv Albus would've remained in Slytherin), then how tf did Albus remember his time in gryffindor???? Heck tbf he shouldn't have remembered anything related to Panju as well... Like if bro remembered allat, then I really don't understand why physical appearances could change but not your memory. Ofc, this ain't a prob in the current production, so that was nice.
But however, Scorpius did erase the dark timeline, so why tf is he still wearing the dark uniform????? His uniform should've also been reverted to the slytherin uniform. This is still a problem in the current production.
Speaking of which,...
Scorpius 2 clearly seems to be here but where tf is Scorpius 1???? Like my guy also was with Albus. Also before yalls go, "maybe Scorpius 2 replaced Scorpius 1", no it does not work that way. Cuz if that were the case, then Scorpius 2 would've replaced Scorpius 1 back in the first task, but if you look at the play/bootleg, that does not happen. Also nothing abt the time turner implies that "oh, you could replace your previous selves"
See look at this,...
ALBUS: It was weird though β I thought I saw Cedric start to expand β but then he sort of started shrinking again β and I looked at you and you had your wand out . . .
Maybe my guy Albus was oblivious and didnt notice Scorpius 1 potentially disintegrating cuz wdym you saw Scorp with his wand out???? That is Scorpius 2. And plus again, it aint a case of mental time-travel, cuz firstly, nothing abt this time turner suggests such a thing could be possible and again, Scorpius was wearing his dark timeline uniform.
Or maybe there were 2 Scorpiuses and Albus didn't notice.... which again, begs the question of where the fuck did Scorpius 1 go when the 5 min were up. Is he stuck in the lake until he dies? Is he in some limbo???
Speaking of the 5 min, Scorpius 2 had his time-turner(the one from the future) and Albus had his.... that means that there were 2 time-turners in that lake. Bro.... where did the other time-turner go????
Now that I think of it, if anyone were to be disintegrated, it should've been Scorpius 2. Cuz again, if Albus' uniform changed, then logically, Albus' memory should've changed as well since the panju timeline got erased. So with that logic, when Scorpius undo-ed the engorgio, then the dark timeline gets erased and then that Scorpius should've not existed, leaving behind Albus and Scorpius 1.
ARGH.... THIS IS BREAKING MY BRAIN!!!
YEA AND THIS IS WHY I HATE THE HATERS! Because I noticed this plothole when I was SEVENTEEN YEARS OLD!!! 17!!! And I discovered the Albus-memory plothole when I was like 14. And not one of the haters thought that these very obvious plotholes should be addressed. Like none of them brought it up in any argument that I had with them.....
They bring up the POA time travel mechanism(which IS NOT LOOP btw since Hermione and McG are worried abt messing with time and there would be virtually no risk in a loop time travel)(also, Pottermore had an article abt past instances of time-travel and NO, it was NOT LOOP). But they don't acknowledge the time-travel plothole within the Cursed Child.
Like... am I being crazy??? Is there some explanation for this that only I didn't get?
So I did state in the previous post abt how I think that Albus is lowk a male version of a female protag in a romatasy. Mind you, I'm basing this opinion on 3 romance books and what I've heard from the internet. (This may be a huge reach lmfao so pls bear with me.)
Now, you might've thought 'But Honeybee! What made you jump to THAT conclusion???'
Well... Buckle up cuz it's a long story...
So one day, I was pondering on the Cursed Child as I usually do any day lmao. At that particular day, I was thinking abt the train station scene during Albus' third year. Specifically abt these 2 sentences in the script.
And with that, time moves ever onwards β ALBUSβs eyes become darker, his face grows more sallow. Heβs still an attractive boy, but heβs trying not to admit it.
And I was thinking abt Albus' clearly deteriorating mental state. But then I thought of the "He's still an attractive boy" part which weirded me out, cuz firstly, that just ruined the sad vibes earlier and secondly, it was so out of place. Mind you this paragraph was after many scenes of Albus getting bullied/ostracised. And finally, bro was THIRTEEN! THIRTEEN! My guy is too young for the narrator to think of him as attractive.
And I did lowk find it funny as well. Cuz it read to me as "Look! Albus' skin is sallow and his eyes are dark but DON'T WORRY!!! HE'S STILL HOT!"
But that made me think of the next part of that sentence - "but he's trying not to admit it."
Do you know what that sounds like?
Protag: "Oh but I was a painfully average girl."
Protag: "I looked in the mirror and saw that I had eye bags"
Protag: (Hottest girl in the room)
Some mafia dude: "Mamma Mia! You are as beautiful as risotto!(Kisses her hand then leaves to do some mafia shit)
Cuz that is what it sounds like! Like bro, he's got all these features but HE'S STILL HOT but bro still doesn't think he is. Switch the genders and he sounds like he is gonna be in some romance books dawg.
That is when I thought, 'Wait a min! He does sound like a romantasy protag!'
Cuz No. 1, DADDY ISSUES
Okay maybe it ain't a romance specific thing, but I do feel like it might work in scenario 2 that I wrote below.
And No. 2, in some points Albus is kind of an empowered damsel which is sorta a thing I've seen in this one romance book.... Uhh.... this is a huge stretch... I did say that this theory is mostly based on vibes lmfao.
There are 2 ways, you could potentially twist the cursed child into a romance plot.
1. Dark Romance
(Potential ship - Albus Γ Delphi)
Now you might think that this ship is honestly gross and wrong and YOU ARE RIGHT FOR THAT but I'm putting them in this scenario to prove a point. And plus, those dark romance peeps are most likely gonna find the wrong aspect hot... idk...
BUT THE POINT IS...
It sorta fits. Why? Imma do a sub-list lmao.
A. The first time they meet
This is on the boots where Delphi does briefly touch Albus's thighs with both hands and obviously, Albus notices it. While this is creepy af, in a dark romance, it could be portrayed as possessive.
B. Yeah so there was this one scene where Delphi praises Albus for mastering the expelliarmus.
ALBUS: Expelliarmus!
DELPHIβs wand flies through the air.
DELPHI: Youβre getting it now. Youβre good at this.
She takes her wand back from him.
(In a posh voice.) βYouβre a positively disarming young man.β
ALBUS: Expelliarmus!
Her wand flies back again.
DELPHI: And we have a winner.
The two high-five.
ALBUS: Iβve never been good at spells.
SCORPIUS appears at the back of the stage. He looks at his friend talking to a girl β and part of him likes it and part of him doesnβt.
DELPHI: I was rubbish β and then something clicked. And it will for you too. Not that Iβm a super witch or anything but β I think youβre becoming quite some wizard, Albus Potter.
Ofc asides from the obvious love triangle situation LMFAO...
That part which I highlighted in green... Obviously she did state it in a very awkward way but it seems reminiscent of those fanfics where the mentor lover dude looks at the protag and be like
Mentor lover dude(very rizzily): You aren't actually bad.... You have potential.....(extra rizz)
C. Also that one time Delphi draws a wand on Albus' neck - we could turn it into some romance type stuff. Heck now I think of it, girl kissed bro, tied him up, flirted with him and allat tho at very diff times.
D. Also, judging by twilight, I'm pretty sure age gaps are a thing in romance novels
E. Also judging by twilight, LOVE TRIANGLES!!! Scorpius and Delphi are competing for Albus eyyyyy!!!!
Tbf I don't have much on Delphi, mostly cuz I'd prefer not to think much abt Augurlight... But yeah... I just added it cuz hey....
Now onto my favorite scenario....
2. Forbidden Romance
(Potential Ship - Albus x Scorpius)
Obviously the daddy issues would work here. It could be some romeo and juliet -esque story.
A. STAIRCASE BALLET!!!
B. THE WHOLE HARRY/ALBUS/SCORPIUS PLOT
It be giving "but daddy, I love him!"
And urgh, the final scene of the new version..... "Scorpius is the most important person in my life and he might always be the most important" arghhhhh......
C. In some older boots, Scorpius did pull him back when Amos raised his wand. PROTECTIVE SCORPIUS AYYY!!
D. Scorbus is elite... Nothing else to say...
E. Ig it would be very realistic for scorpius to be all "Albus, you are actually beautiful" tho he prolly wouldn't compare him to risotto :(
F. STAIRCASE BALLETTTTTTT
Guys.... I couldn't think much beyond this. I swear I had much more points and much more convincing points on why Albus could be a good romance protag...
But eyy... here is some of my explanation of my very silly theory...
Edit: Also in the previous post, @ace-aussie-asshole mentioned that Albus did ignore all of Delphi's red flags which is SUCH A GOOD POINT AND SO ROMANTASY that I'm gonna add it to this post.
I think Albus is lowk the male version of a female romantasy protagonist.
Have I read any romantasy books? No.
Will I elaborate? Ehh... if I have time.

Was watching a next gen edit where all the characters were fancasted and they legit fancasted Anthony Boyle as Albus Potter.
Anthony Boyle
Frigging Anthony Boyle
Tbf they prolly didnt know much abt the play but like damn...
Edit: I did ask the OP abt whether the fancast is actually Anthony Boyle and the OP confirmed and did say that they thought that Boyle looked more like Albus despite playing Scorp. So they did know abt the play.
Anyways, now I lowk have respect for them for such a diabolical fancast.
sleepy albus
I hate Americans. Like srsly they have this weird relationship with Trump.
Like the ppl on the right look at the one time Trump did smth right(killing Khamenei) and just declare that he is the bestest president ever, choosing to ignore the atrocities that Trump had caused earlier. And Trump prolly had ulterior motives for this.
And the ppl in the left are so blinded with their hate that they are legit supporting Khamenei and whenever they are shown footage of the Iranians celebrating, they go "lalalala this is fake lalalala this is ai" which urgh....
Bro was legit killing protesters who wanted a regime change.
And I lowk hate how he decided to turn on the middle east(tho ig it makes sense but im bitter af). Look, my dad is in bahrain! My former classmates are in bahrain! And so are their parents! And they are scared as shit(well,... for some reason my dad isnt but my classmates are panicking tho). They also bombed the frigging airport. And a selfish part of me wished that the US never got involved in this nonsense. Luckily, there are no casualties but bruh tho... Bahrain has America's fifth fleet, so it's a target urgh...
Like bitch, we did nothing! Bh was just minding it's business and boom boom. Tho ig it is stupid af to house the naval fleet of the US but still... It is like attacking the landlord for smth the tenants did.
But at the end of the day, there is no war with a good guy and a bad guy. One of my friends messaged this "one devil teamed up with another devil to kill a 3rd devil". Which is so true! The US, Israel and Iran.... they are all devils.
How do we feel about them shortening the London production to one part? Personally I am very upset because I will never get to see the two part production, Also so much depth is just gone. Especially the owlery scene, in the two part performance, there is around 20 seconds of conversation after Delphi gets the Time-turner, where you slowly realize something is wrong, But in the one part version, it's only about 6 seconds.
Honestly I am upset. Granted the one part show actually feels more scorbus approved- however- it cuts out a ton of stuff. I feel we loose alot of what the orginal script was trying to get the complex nature of tramua and how it is past to children. I wish they make an orginal recorded version of the two parter. I know they do that with long running shows like Phantom and cats. But hasn't cursed child run long enough for that as well?
I think they did record some casts. Like Year 6 London for eg. Cuz in some of the cast videos where they talk abt the scenes, they would add clips of the play that were relevant. This sorta makes me think that they acc recorded the play. I also have a suspicion that they recorded the Year 1 and 2 London version as well.
All they need to do is to release them.
I've said this so many times by this point, but I guess I just have to keep saying it. The reason they're doing this is probably (I emphasise that this is PROBABLY the case, although I can't know for certain) because the shows aren't making enough money to justify the full production anymore. JKTERF is very vocal about how she spends her Harry Potter profits and people are boycotting Harry Potter as a result, and yes that includes CC.
I understand that when it comes to plays you want them to stay in long productions so that you have the chance to see them, whereas a lot of other forms of media you never really have that chance to miss out, but I can't say that I'm earnestly upset about this or shocked. JKTERF's empire is falling, as it should, and her profits are tanking. That's a good thing.
At some point, hopefully in the near future, the show will stop being regularly performed all together and while that's sad for fans who'll never get to see it live, keep in mind that JKTERF losing her influence and making very little money is a net positive. What's sad for fans is good for the welfare of British trans people.
This just reminded me of Rowling and Epstein πππ
Guys! Could someone who is going to see the two parter in London write the script version of it with all the changes made in 2022? Cuz I know that one person made a script for the Broadway/Tour version. And plus it would be amazing to be able to get a script which ain't the og version. Esp since the two parter is gonna stop being played.

Oh, you mean you were manipulated by someone you trusted into doing evil things and when you tried to escape, it just came back to haunt you and now you're dying and Harry Potter has to save you??? Oh, you mean an older person fostered a close relationship with you for the purpose of evildoing and they violated your body in some form?? Like mother like son.
YES! YES! YES! YOU GET IT!
