Need an idea for a cheap way to house goldfish? Stock tanks are your friend. This 110g tank was less than a hundred dollars, and has been modified with a plastic mesh lid to keep cats out. I am running a canister filter rated for 400g, which was the most expensive part of this endeavor. Currently it houses six fancy goldfish between 1-3,“ and when they get larger or if we get more goldfish, we’ll upgrade to a 300g stock tank (which runs less than $300 and has a broad surface area - great for fish!).
