Unfortunately, my old blog has been deleted, and posts with sketches are most likely no longer displayed in tag searches. So I decided to combine my favorite penguin sketches into one post so as not to lose them.

Thank you for coming to my TED talk
i am unironically obsessed with adam west batman not only trying to be a good dad to robin, but actually succeeding. also love robin's insane energy levels and his ability to go from seething bloodlust to manic glee in record time. i think any superman worth his S would fit right into the family ^_^

A Guide on How to be a 1960s Batman Supervillain
So you wish to become a supervillain in 1960s Gotham city? This guide will instruct you on how to establish yourself, prepare your schemes, and deal with ridiculously costumed heroes.
Step 1: Pick a theme
What is a proper supervillain without a theme? It is essential to have a unique theme to stand out from the other villains, unite your minions (we'll talk more about them later), choosing your supervillain name, and properly enjoy committing crimes.
Examples (which are already claimed, so you cannot use) include: The Riddler and riddles, Archer and Robin Hood, King Tut and Ancient Egypt, Catwoman and cats
Step 2: Get some minions
You can not commit crimes in Gotham city alone. It is a requirement in the city that you have help in carrying out your schemes. Fortunately, there are many individuals who are willing to work for an aspiring supervillain, some more so than others. Having minions will be essential for carrying out schemes and dealing with Batman and Robin.
You can (and should) have your minions dressed in outfits that suit your theme, though this is not a strict requirement. You may treat your minions however you want, poor treatment from you will not stop them from working for you.
Step 2a: Minions and Gender
It is strongly recommended that all but one of your minions be men. For the singular allowed henchwoman, it is strongly recommended that she be physically attractive. Feel free to flirt with the henchwoman (or the men) to your heart's content (though any same-sex flirting should be kept on the downlow due to it being the 60s).
Note on henchwomen: there is an approximately 85% chance that she will eventually become opposed to your plan due to finding Batman handsome, perhaps caused by something in the water. This problem may be less likely to occur if she was already a seasoned criminal before becoming your minion, though it is statistically unlikely that you will be able to get such a woman.
Step 3: Get a base
You don't need anything fancy. Any location where you can freely work on planning criminal schemes and set up a death trap (we'll get into that in more detail later) will do. The sky is the limit here, and more importantly your budget.
Step 4: Plan the scheme
No supervillain worthy crime can be done without there being a plan. Just make sure your plan takes all necessary factors into account, especially dealing with superheroes. The scheme should require multiple steps to carry out. It is encouraged to include steps to mislead Gotham law enforcement, including Batman.
Plan the scheme, tell your minions the plan, than make sure your plan is carried out.
Step 5: Set up a death trap
This is an easily overlooked, but very necessary step. While you can put minions that annoy you to much in the death trap, it is actually for when you have to deal with Batman (it's an unfortunate fact that you will have to, Gotham PD doesn't do to anything to supervillains directly, they just call in Batman). Do not anything simple, the trap should be fun for you. The more convoluted it is, the better.
Step 6: Trust the trap
When you eventually get Batman and Robin in your death trap, make sure to tell them exactly what is going to happen, this should scare them (or at least Robin). Once you have finished your explanation, leave the area with all of your minions to carry out the next part of your scheme. As fun as it may be to watch the dynamic duo die, you have a different goal to work on. And as a bonus, this means you'll have an alibi.
Note on the traps: For some reason, no villain's death trap has been successful so far. The cause of the repeated failures is difficult to identify. The reigning theories are the Batman and Robin are immortal or that a treacherous former minion made a wish on a monkey's paw. If said minion is found, they will be placed in a death trap.
Step 7: Have a plan for getting out of prison
Be ready for the (extremely likely) possibility that Batman will catch you, stop your scheme, and get you thrown in prison. If this happens, the good news is that you don't necessarily have to stay there. Some villains opt for schemes to break out, others just wait until their sentence is over (most prison sentences in Gotham are fairly short), and some will make sure to behave like a good citizen in prison so they can be released early (this comes with the risk of suspicion from Batman and Gotham PD).
That concludes our guide for being a 1960s Gotham supervillain. Go forth, follow these steps, and you too will become a famous villain.

If Justice League was made in the 70s
It would've been a fun, lighthearted and entertaining show that makes you want to be a superhero. Tired of depressing superhero shows where everything is real, dark and gritty. I have enough of reality in my own life, that I need something to escape to and take my mind of things.
Catwoman's Dressed to Kill - Batman production photo (1967)
Been rewatching the 60s show lately and I think about it
Two pages of absolutely STUNNING pencil work by the Master himself, José Luis García-López, from "Batman '66: The Lost Episode" which features Two-Face who, of course never actually appeared in the TV series because they felt he would be too scary for the kids.
Just look at them... the composition, the emotions, the flow between panels... sublime
(and also available on e-bay, and at pricea which is just a bit out of my league at the moment)
so let's just wait a while, the one i need is tied up right now

Just unlocked this Joker in Balatro but I can't figure out what it is supposed to do. Description says something about "unmasking the Dynamic Duo." Is that some kind of secret poker hand I haven't found yet?
Thanks @wheatlev, sounds like something he'd say
