I’ve been bouncing around between different projects as tax season slows down. From cosplays to editing my silly anime abridged attempt to crocheting to stepping waaay outside my comfort zone with my drawing style in hopes of improving. There’s so much I want to do and get better at and it sometimes overwhelms me. I keep getting excited though from little accomplishments like this or seeing my favorite youtubers do such freaking awesome stuff. It’s refreshing to feel so inspired after crawling out of the black hole of stress and anxiety that last year was.
I caught up on some of Markiplier’s videos while drawing this lol. I referenced a couple pictures he had posted from when he accepted the Make A Wish Foundation award last year.
I was prepared to burn this, but it exceed my expectations in the end. Thank you Mark for having a handsome face I can kinda draw.
That feel when...
Your best friend meets a YouTuber you both adore and records a short video with said YouTuber agreeing to bail us out of jail when I come visit my friend and our shenanigans get us in trouble.
Hey y'all, guess what I failed? :D *Edit: Besides initially uploading the wrong quality video file? Here's an update vlog in which this Hollycat was inspire...
WELL THEN. This took an absurd amount of time to edit and find the right video formatting but it is done. I made notes this time to not forget how I format my videos.
Have a lovely day/night/morning/week/year/month!
Aaaah I just bought the rest of the volumes of Voice Over! Seiyu Academy (yes, the manga I did a voice reading of) this past weekend... and binged through the last 6 volumes. It was so good! And the ending! Gaah! SO ADORABLE AND GOOD!! Now I have to study some and work on editing my video. And avoid laying in a puddle of emotions.

I did it!
I took my first CPA exam last week! Did I pass? Heck if I know! I just got back from the anime convention I went to as my "first exam complete" reward. It was a blast and seeing passionate cosplayers and fans pumps me up so much! I'll be laying out an easier study schedule for my next exam within a day or two then I'll try and get a video ready for this Saturday. I hope. I'll do my best!
I'm alive. I just wanted to say that. Eighteen days left and focus is slipping! :D I had to draw some of my frustration out so hopefully I'll focus a bit better for a while. Mistakes were made and I over estimated my ability to focus for long hours and not read at a snail's pace. I was talked into studying for REG first by my friend who wanted to be study-buddies. Then she bailed because life stuff happened and that's okay. I chose to chug along despite having had a horrible experience with tax class in college (50% was a C, I got 51%). I'm basically teaching myself tax with my study program for the "first" time. So to any CPA hopefulls who may see this: give yourself enough time to study AND live so when the exam draws near you'll be polishing up your knowledge and you won't be a ball of miserable stress like me. Be honest about how fast you can read AND comprehend and how long you can handle sitting to study each day. COMMIT to your study schedule. Add extra study hours for tougher sections and when the exam is a week of two away. DON'T take REG first if you hate tax. Do FAR first, it's everything accounting you should already be familiar with and it may boost your confidence by reinforcing your knowledge instead of throwing your lack of knowledge in your face. This is just my thoughts so far in regards to my study difficulties. In any case, you do you, and commit to whatever section you want first. Study hard, but live a little cause too much stress makes it way too hard to focus. You can do it and even if you fail, you can get up and try again. MUST KEEP TRYING!
Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhh, I just committed to doing thissssss. Whyyyyyy do I do thingssss like thisssss to myselffffffffff??? I'm working on a reward system for studying that involves video/anime watching, drawing, and making videos when I complete study sections on time. Hope it works, cause there's no going back now.
The other day I drew this while I was sick. I had been watching Miraculous Ladybug when I noticed Chat Noir's mask made the area around his blue irises green and the first thought was "septic eyes... Jacksepticeye... as Chat Noir...YES." which was followed by "Ladybug... red and black... Markiplier!" Haha, I'm not a great artisit, but this silly idea was fun to draw and good practice.
You know you love your cats when you decide to carefully play tetris in order to fit your legs around the sleeping cats hogging your entire bed.

A year ago, I was sitting in class feeling the pressure to find an internship for my last summer of college while Taylor Swift's catchy song was on loop in my brain and this parody idea was born. A lot of things got in my way, but I wrote the lyrics and recorded me singing them. This isn't the music video I had hope to make, but it's the next best thing. For give me if I was off tempo or off key, Estina wasn't supervising this shenanigan when I recorded it.
FYI: I have graduated (with above 3.0 GPA even after 2.5 years of engineering) and I did get a job. I am not a CPA yet, but I just bought my review materials. I have nothing against guys from Yale, it just rhymed. :)
Was catching up on some videos while unpacking when my cat jumped on my bed and curled up to watch Jacksepticeye with me. He even stayed to watch Markiplier. @therealjacksepticeye and @markiplier, are you guys secretly cat whisperers?
Level up!
Well I graduated from college a few days ago and everything has been a whirlwind moving back home. The sentimentality faded pretty quick, but I did enjoy my 5 and a half years in college and I'll miss it. I'll be starting my job and helping my sister move soon. I have something else I want to edit and post, so we'll see if it'll go up before or after the holidays. I have so much to do before I start at my job, but everything will get done. Just gonna take it one day at a time. Happy holidays and happy new year!
When you are a sentimental graduating student and you make a heartfelt vlog about graduation and how everything will be okay in the end and edit it down and then the program you are using crashes just before you hit save. FML
I’m going to bed. I’m tired of being sentimental and crap and I couldn’t handle editing that video once and I don’t feel like trying again. Look for a happier vlog from me and Estina tomorrow as we prepare for graduation.
Life Update: Things DO Work Out
I was ready to resign myself to not having a job after graduation. I had completely given up all hope. I thought my last interview had went horrible, I didn’t have time to apply to more companies, I had no experience and very few noteworthy accomplishments. And yet I somehow received a job offer from the place I had my last interview with. I realize now that just being myself probably helped me a lot.
So go into your interviews as yourself. Show them you are passionate. Relate what you’ve learned in class to what their company does. If you’re like me and have zero clue how the real job will be, tell them you have the basics and you’re ready and willing to learn how to use them. And even if you don’t get the job, you just might make a connection that will open up another opportunity. Don’t lose hope.

Career Search Lesson of the Day:
After you’ve had an interview and even if you hear nothing for nearly 2 months straight, it can’t hurt to just touch base with them and check if they are still considering you. They might tell you “no”, but it’s better than not knowing. They also might pass your name along to another company you might be a good fit for. You never know and it seems like a good professional thing to do.
Watch us as we slowly lose our minds while taking exams and looking for jobs LOL.
I’ve been meaning to post this for a while. This is just a playlist of videos from me and Estina (Estina and I? Whatever) counting down the days to graduation. They’re not the greatest quality, but these are kinda like practicing being more relaxed in front of the camera even when we’re in *shiver* public. I don’t know if I’ll ever get used to that, haha.
We’re still recording videos, but one of our group days was filmed apart and we haven’t had time to edit them together. So I guess when we find this elusive “time” to edit videos, we’ll probably double up the posting to catch up or something.
