euphoria  (  season  1  )  sentence  starters

despite  the  relationship  between  two  quidditch  teammates  being  a  hot  topic  on  everybody's  tongue,  it  had  less  of  a  presence  on  marcus'  public  media  than  other  relationships  …  because  it  meant  more.  he  chose  to  keep  their  intimate  moments  intimate,  only  ever  sharing  the  rare,  captionless  snap  on  his  private  'close  friends'  following  rather  than  with  the  whole  world.  these  are  two  of  a  small  collection  that  made  it.  the  first  shows  only  minette  dancing,  unable  to  see  a  laughing  marcus  behind  the  camera.  the  second  is  them  winding  down  after  attending  an  event  together.  both  posts  have  since  been  archived,  but  there  are  still  traces  of  them  known  in  the  world  from  fans  or  newspapers  saving  them  at  the  time. 

the  aesthetics  of  marcus  and  pansy  have  always  been  tactful.  maybe  even  a  little  too  carefully  posed.  expensive  dinners,  fine  champagne.  a  surprise  appearance  at  the  grandest  events.  they  (or  rather  their  parents  with  the  help  of  marcus'  pr)  had  a  particular  image  they  were  intent  on  selling  the  world.  in  most  photographs  permitted  to  be  made  public,  almost  mr   &   mrs were painted  as  that  gorgeous,  picturesque,  'we're  better  luckier  than  you'  a-list  pairing.  witch  weekly's  very  own  it  couple.  these  two  posts  in  particular  were  made  the  day  before  their  wedding  as  a  countdown  to  the  big  day  and  it  is  in  fact  the  last  post  made  on  any  of  marcus'  social  media.  he's  been  eerily  mia  both  online  and  offline  ever  since.

our  most  beloved  artie  and  mollywobbles.  mom  and  dad,  husband  and  wife.  mr  and  mrs  weasley.  the  first  photograph  is  a  throwback  glimpse  into  the  past.  it  shows  the  young  and  in  love,  enjoying  the  early  beginnings  of  their  life  together  as  newly-weds  settling  into  their  first  home  together.  the  second  is  a  more  recent  moment,  captured  by  one  of  their  children.  in  it,  they  can  be  seen  still  dancing  together  in  the  kitchen,  after  all  this  time.  

the  family  pub  back  in  ireland  is  in  fact  older  than  seamus  himself.  their  doors  first  opened  in  1827  and  his  uncle  swears  blind  there  was  always  a  finnigan  behind  the  bar.  from  playing  with  action  mans  at  a  table  in  the  corner,  to  serving  pints  to  their  regulars  as  an  adult,  this  place  has  always  played  an  important  role  in  seamus'  past,  present  and  future,  though  it  feels  perhaps  the  former  more  than  anything  these  days  since  returning  to  the  wizarding  community.  as  much  as  he  tries  to  keep  helping  out  when  he  can,  he  often  fears  if  he  spends  too  much  time  there,  they  won't  let  him  leave  again.  this  photo  was  taken  during  his  'final'  shift  a  couple  of  years  ago.  spoiler  alert:  it  was  not  his  final  shift.  

admittedly    …    we  almost  hit  an  immediate  snag  when  i  realised  there  isn't  a  trace  of  ezekiel  himself  on  any  social  media,  but  their  sibling  is.  and  their  sibling  is  just  about  the  only    (  known  )    biological  family  he  has  any  meaningful  relationship  with.  they  are  the  very  best  of  him.  his  humanity.  his  heart.  he  doesn't  have  a  lot  of  it  to  give,  but  they've  never  known  that  part  of  him.  this  is  a  rarely  -  seen  image  of  zeke  being  uncharacteristically  carefree  and  comfortable  because  he  is  with  the  one  person  who  has  always  been  able  to  provide  a  calm  to  his  storm. 

lavender  does  not  particularly  acknowledge  her  childhood  in  general.  that  feels  like  another  lifetime/another  lavender.  it  didn't  happen  to  her,  it  happened  to  a  version  of  her  that  never  survived  the  war.  however,  she  is  but  an  emotional  girl  at  heart,  even  if  she  pretends  not  to  be.  these  two  photographs  would've  been  posted  privately  under  the  "close  friends"  option.  the  first  is  a  snap  of  an  old  polaroid    (  kept  in  a  memory  box  under  her  bed  )    of  beloved  bunny  she  grew  up  with;    binky.  the  second  is  a  lavender  brown  exclusive  art  painting  showing  a  ballet  dancer's  feet.  lavender  studied  meticulously  from  age  6  to    …    well.  teenage  years.  it  won't  be  hung  up  on  any  walls  because  it's  too  personal,  but  instead  stored  at  the  bottom  of  her  closet.

idle  hand  slowly  pushes  through  paxton's  hair,  his  head  nestled  against  her  chest  as  naturally  as  two  puzzle  pieces  slotting  together.  each  movement  is  surprisingly  gentle  for  a  woman  who  spent  most  days  hissing  unpleasantries  at  those  misfortunate  enough  to  cross  paths  with  her.  soft  almost,  as  if  a  part  of  the  girl  who  used  to  love  too  easily  still  lingers  there.  this  is  a  side  of  lavender  she  reserves  just  for  him.  "it's  cold  in  here  too,  pax.  shit  heating."  the  argument  lacks  bite,  making  no  real  attempt  to  shift  from  underneath  the  blankets  rumpled  around  them.  they’re  a  little  too  familiar  with  each  other  these  days.  dangerously  so,  she  thinks  sometimes,  but  on  days  like  today,  when  they’re  behind  closed  doors  and  hidden  from  the  rest  of  the  world,  she  convinces  herself    (  temporarily  )    that  it  isn’t  a  real  problem.  shuts  the  insecurities  outside,  along  with  the  cold.  foolish  girl,  playing  make  believe.  "and  my  boss  slash  landlord  knows  where  i  live.  are  you  gonna  go  to  the  door  when  he  comes  knocking?"

"i'm  a  firefighter,  m.  i'm  not  built  to  survive  harsh  winters.  i'm  used  to  a  bit  more  heat."  it  seems  to  show  in  each  movement  too.    ⸻    the  subtle  fidget  as  he  continuously  shifts  weight  from  foot  to  foot,  as  if  dancing  on  the  spot  while  blowing  warm  air  into  cupped  hands.  as  much  as  he  enjoys  christmas,  it  wasn't  his  season.  alfie  preferred  warm  summers  and  longer  evenings,  sitting  in  a  pub  garden  laughing  with  friends.  tonight  isn't  so  bad  though.  the  air  outside  the  leaky  cauldron  might  be  bitter,  but  the  company  he's  stumbled  upon  is  pleasant.  "y'know.."  back  pushes  away  from  the  brick  wall  he’s  been  leaning  back  on,  posture  straightening  to  full  height  while  taking  a  step  forward,  playful  eyes  focusing  on  moira.  "if  you're  that  concerned  about  my  wellbeing,  huddling  together  has  been  proven  an  effective  way  to  reduce  heat  loss."
