Headcanons about James Potter that just make sense:
In third year he would jokingly fawn over Regulus Black just piss Sirius off
His boggart was each of his friends (it changed every few seconds) crying alone
This is because his biggest fear was not being able to help the people he loves when they need him most
He was the token dumbass™️
Like... Remus told him he had to go give his cat a bath once before a full moon and James just... believed him... knowing full well he didn’t have a cat...
If you think that Sirius didn’t take advantage of this then you’re wrong

When they became animagi in 5th year, he desperately wanted to be a lion
Was okay with being a stag when he saw Lily Evans’ patronus though

He would transfigure a bed to fit them all and force them all to come lay with him
Would hold Remus after a rough full moon

Helped Lily get Marlene and Dorcas together in 4th year
Tried to set Sirius up with Emmaline Vance in 2nd year because he seemed lonely
Tried to call Sirius snuffles before they came up with padfoot
This is why he uses the name in OOTP

Loves quidditch but considered quitting in 6th year when the schedule clashed too much with Moony’s cycle

Would sneak up behind her with his jumper and wrap it around her waist and disguised it as a kiss on her head
