じゃあね、スペースカウボーイ

When I was younger, this was a dream I never thought I’d reach as I never thought it was a viable option for me personally, that I had to get what was considered a ‘real job’ and committed myself to that. While part of me wanted this to be my life (which it has now become), another part of me wished to not exist, to not be alive. I can safely say I’m glad I stuck it out and persevered through it all.

I can’t say it ‘gets better’, that my life is now perfect and happy, that my depression and anxieties are no longer there - I still get scared, still wish at times I didn’t exist, and just recently got out of a depressive funk despite the joy in where I am in life - but it becomes manageable. While I definitely made myself recognised in this field through my own efforts, it was through luck and opportunity that I was given the platform to push myself further. A lot of privileges were granted to me that others may not have, and I recognise that and try to help those around me that are either underprivileged or underskilled so that they too can be where they want to be.
