Klaus opened his eyes to a grey sky. There were no clouds, but everything, even the treetops above him, were a shade of grey.
“I don’t like you coming here”
His head was lying on the little girl’s lap, she tucked a stray lock of hair behind his ear.
There was silence until Klaus took a deep breath and let out a sigh
“You can’t stay here” she said, not without kindness. It wasn’t the second time they met, and if Klaus had to guess, he’d say the girl had grown soft for him.
It was half a joke half a serious question.
“Because your siblings need you, Klaus”
“And you don’t like me” he reminded Her.
She huffed “there’s a difference between loving and liking. I love all my creations, but I don’t really like some of them. Do you love your siblings?”
“Do you like them all the time?”
Klaus sat up and shook his head.
“There you go” she smiled. Klaus wasn’t sure if her smile was cold or warm.
She placed her hands over his eyes. He closed them, feeling her cold fingertips.
“Don’t come back here” was the last think he heard.
His eyes opened, colours filled his vision once more.
Allison and Five were kneeling over him, both looking pale. Allison was crying.
“Oh thank God” she sobbed.
“Thank her indeed” Klaus grumbled.
“Don’t do that again, asshole” Five growled. His hands were shaking from where they clutched part of Klaus’ shirt.
