You vs. the guy she tells you not to worry about

I struggle describing this, so i wanted to draw it if i made any more sense. I am super happy to have the resources i have, but a lot of people easily jump into conclusions and tell me they could never learn a language. They slightly dismiss all the hard work and effort that has gone to something as simple as forming basic sentences. Same people often assume I know every language in a conversational level, which feels pressuring. Sure, if I was smarter, i would just choose a couple that were ‘good choices for me’ (which would be debatable) and focus all my time on them to be actually good, but then again it wouldn’t be fun for me. Instead of making ‘a smart choice’, I make the one that keeps me happy and motivated. Instead of being good enough, i strive for the excitement of getting to use my new skills and learning more.
