I feel lazy when I go to the gym with Dave because he's always drenched in sweat and doing lots of things and I work out for an hour or two, don't really sweat, and then go home... but my muscles are tired the next day, so...?

I ran today. I really didn't want to, but I knew it'd be good for me and I'd feel better afterwards, so I did it anyway. My head's been kind of stuffy the last day or so, so I got the "wha-wha"s as I ran (ya know, when you can feel your pulse in your ears every time you take a step?).

I didn't get in a workout on Sunday because Dave and I were traveling. We did walk around the Monterey Bay Aquarium for a good chunk of the afternoon, so that counts for something. But today was catchup day for lifting. It was accidentally a really good day for the arms!

I ran today. And nobody made me do it! I did it all on my own!
Considering I haven't had even the slightest urge to run for about a month now, this is a big deal. I'm still not super-interested in running, but it felt good to get at least a few miles under my belt. I'm going to try (keyword) to do a few miles a couple times a week. We'll see how it goes. I'm not going to force myself to do something I really don't want to do because it will make me hate it even more.

Our gym closed this week, so I didn't get in a workout on Wednesday (I did manage some bodyweight squats and such at home - but it was nothing super-impressive).
Dave did find an alternative that's looking pretty good, so I accompanied him there today to try it out. I think it's a pretty good fit. It's a bit smaller than the other place, but the close quarters caused me to really think about where the weight was on my body and in relation to things around me. I woke up with some back spasms, so I took it really light today, but I actually think it helped me to focus on my form and technique. They have mirrors set up in such a way that I was able to see myself from the side and I think that helped. Dave also commented that my form on my squat was much better today than usual. I didn't record the weights today because I just wanted to focus on good technique (and not injuring myself). I did some squats, overhead press, power cleans, and a tiny bit of core (laughably tiny bit).
Felt good, though.
