Having no parents throughout always hits on holidays.
And I am watching this cdrama called dream of golden years. I have recently got into cdramas.
Like me the heroine of the show loses her parents at a young age and her aunt and uncle take her in. Her aunt and uncle took her in but they don’t prioritize her. When we meet her, her work life isn’t great and she has this mindset that if her parents were here, that life wouldn’t be so hard. Out of nowhere she goes back in 1983.
In that dimension/version she has a loving mother, uncle and aunt. That love her dearly. Her father side of the family isn’t great. At first she tries to go back to her time but she isn’t able to. She tells herself at least the mom I have here loves me and so does my uncle so she decides to live life.
This really touched me because the absence of a parent isn’t an easy shadow to over come but maybe one can over come it if a loving family was provided.
So far, highly recommend this drama.
