ok!! so, im guessing that aaron and theo both know about e/o, via nicole?  or is she a lil more circumspect about having a werewolf bro/hunting buds? laksjdfkljsdf either way tho!!  since she’s also besties w theo, im guessing these two at least know e/o, socially?  i def think aaron would think theo’s great!  aaron is def the strong and silent type but he does also 1) soften around his fam and 2) has a sense of humor and, while that might involve more of him sort of smirking or shaking his head, he does enjoy theo’s levity and probs replies in kind w his own brand on occasion…which probs isn’t the funniest but!! basically i think theo brings out the lighter side 

I feel like theo & nicole were always good friends with chris, but that they both became close in their own right after they started hunting together, but I feel like theo was bff’s with beth since they were little so this still applies!! 

also theo would loVE aaron!?? And having someone older who looks out for him?! that (secretly) makes him emotional. I mean, obviously Chris looks out for him, too, but I feel like that’s more in a best friend/partner-y kind of way, y’know? IDK, I’m just imagining that Aaron is probably the closest thing that Theo had to a dad since he’s dad was so MIA in his life

theo: I think the word you are looking there for is “son”

I also feel like Theo will just roll his eyes now and be like “I got it under control!” but deep in his soul he is very touched by Aaron constantly looking out for him like that!! 

I do think Aaron knows exactly what Nicole does && who with, so he knows that Theo is a hunter. As far as if Theo knows Aaron is a werewolf, I think Nicole would have left that up to Aaron?

the situation between theo jack and beth is so funny bc while they've got that weird rivalry going on beth's completely oblivious and reading "10 Ways to Cope with Vision Loss" articles during her lunch break sneaking quick peeks at gideon thinking he doesn't notice LMAO

anyways i feel like theo has always been a steady constant in her life? and one of the only ppl outside of her close knit friend group (that are predominately all female lol) that she feels comfortable with being around herself? like close enough that when he's in town he'll drive her around places (beth does not have her drivers license lol she is an eternal passenger princess) or when she needs a jar opened he's the first one she calls??

also, idk how obvious jack is about his feelings for beth, but theo somehow manages to play it pretty cool (when he’s around beth that is) but when he’s not she’s literally the topic of a solid 50% of his conversations with his friends -- like it’s been a very long time since his crush was a secret to them and I think he’s been talking about how he’s going to ask her out when they are home again for an extended period .... but now that he actually has an opportunity to, I feel like he’s gonna chicken out b/c he’s scared of her saying no but honestly also kinda scared of her saying yes?!??! it’s a whole thing

of course, theo might also cave to peer pressure especially if his friends are like what??? is??? the holdup??? also if he sees jack getting cozy that might also spur him to action b/c my dude gets a little jealous

ok but, bc im sure she’s (accidentally) helped him out when he wants to hear about all the local folklore in the past!!! and, i gotta say, she loved every second of that bc she’s so passionate about hidden falls and about the past and i feel like she doesn’t get to talk about it as often as she’d like!!!! 

idk how often tho they’ve talked abt that sorta thing tho?  but if its come up multiple times, i feel like she thinks he’s maybe like super into true crime and spooky stuff but in like???? a casual way obv she deffffff does not think that he’s a secretly a hunter or, honestly, that any of that stuff actually exists!!!!! but anyway, if he’s asked those sorts of questions a couple times, any time she does stumble on some, like, local legend that’s like a ghost story or smth she’s probs is super excited to tell him bc she knows he’ll appreciate it and they get to talk about history stuff so she’s like ‘yeah so in the 1850s, the locals thought the person who lived in that house was a vampire!’ and its literally one of the alexanders ;D but yeah she is absolutely thrillllled to have someone to infodump on about that!!!!! lakjsfjsdf that being said, idek if he ~does ever ask her those sorts of things or if he prefers to keep her out of it hahaha

And while she’s obviously she’s the expert on Hidden Falls, but I think he will also call her up sometimes and will be like “Hey I’m driving through Missouri today, do you know anything about local legends here” or whatever. So, yeah I think she probably does think he’s really into that kind of thing tbh (although tbh I guess she’s not wrong) 

Also, they are the same age, so I imagine they met when they first when they were youngsters at school? Theo’s nerdy enough to have found Sophie both interesting and impressive but I think he also felt like she needed to have more fun too haha

(meanwhile, i do think lucy is probs a bit disappointing in that way bc idk that she’s killed anyone yet – i do say yet bc i don’t think you can realistically live as a vamp, esp early on, and not eventually kill ~someone ~somehow but i do think she’s terrified of that inevitability but at the same time is honestly probs trying to hide from her family that she hasn’t killed anyone yet ngl and it’s a meSS asjdflkjsf)

lakjsdfaljksdf anywayyyy i defff feel like chris is hella suspicious and also im laughing bc i feel like they literally ~did do everything but straight up take out an ad in the local newspaper announcing they’re vamps and im obsessed w it!!!!! anyway, chris is like ‘so, fun fact, these ppl hang w my sisters so!! i gotta know!!’ i do think, like i said in violet’s thing, that he probs feels pr confident the kids ~aren’t vamps (whoops) but that the dad ~is and yeah!!! im also not sure what the story they’ve told about their mom is but knowing what the hunters do, that probs has raised some questions too so yeah!! he def wants to check this all out!

Oooooh also I think that that’s super interesting that Lucy hasn’t actually killed anyone yet!!! (especially since her siblings both reacted to it in opposite ways with Nick trying to kill himself and Violet acting like she’s done this every day of her life lmao)

They were standing in the middle of the Wilson family kitchen on an early November morning.  Pale light streamed into the room, giving it a strange kind of nostalgia which took Chris back to a better time, rather than now: when they were so used to talking about death by monster that they’d developed a code to use when speaking of such things in front of civies.  The civie in question, this time?  Chris’ own sister, Amelia, who was sitting nearby having breakfast, and at any moment any of his other sisters might walk in for the same purpose.

So.  Instead of talking about hunting down a vamp in those terms, they were talking about their next big project.  The boys stood by the kitchen island, a map of town spread out across the tiled surface.

“These are the six sites,” Chris said, circling them with a red marker.  They weren’t construction sites.  They were the sites where six bodies had been found, dead by “animal attack.”  Just like his parents.

“They’re really close together, so it stands to reason there’s a base point nearby.”  He cleared his throat.  “But we’ll have to check with the…site manager to find out.”  By this, of course, he meant interrogate witnesses to see if they could hunt down a vampire that might be living nearby.

“I guess we will have to take a look at it to see, for sure.”

It had been long enough that any real evidence would be gone or picked up by the police, but Theo and Chris both had a lot of experience checking over the work of law enforcement and finding things they left behind: mostly because they didn’t know quite what to look for in cases like this.

“The site manager will probably also be able to help out.” Any witnesses would likely be able to confirm the number of people involved: if they were lucky enough to find any.

“Yeah, there is an old service road. And there’s that stone bridge that crosses over the stream leading down from the fall. It’s in pretty good condition, given it’s age, which is great. It’ll definitely be able to hold the supplies. As far as any other structures … I’m not sure. I guess we will have to check it out.”

“Not sure we’ve got a site manager on this one,” he sighed.  “The guys are…pretty efficient.”  He gestured seemingly pointlessly, in a way that showcased the article in the newspaper, lying on the island nearby.  “At least, I know for a fact there’s no site manager at the last site, but there might be at the others.”

No witnesses complicated the issue, but there was one witness that could be found at any murder site: the victim themself.  Of course, the body had been buried, but he’d already been on the phone and gotten assurances that there were plenty of pictures so they could still get a look at the body…and he was equally confident that he wouldn’t be surprised.  This stunk of a vampire a thousand miles away.

“I have someone emailing a picture of the invoice, so that’ll help us figure it out, too.”  They could get a bite radius, which would tell them the approximate size of the person they were looking for, for one thing, as well as find out if there was one or multiple wound sites – and, thus, attackers.

And it was never easy. 

“That’ll be a good starting point,” Theo agreed. The pictures were often enough for them to start forming a checklist that would help zero in on the suspect (or suspects). “As for the bridge -- I haven’t heard anything more about it in a while. Sounds like out of commission - at least temporarily.” The fact that the murders hadn’t continued, certainly pointed to an out of town vamp, but it by no means confirmed it. They’d gone through a lot of bodies fast and - especially if it was a new vampire - they may have gained some more control now. “Wanna take a drive and check everything out?” 

“Wow, you guys really do not know how to stop working, do you?” Mia interrupted. She’d been scrolling through her phone, only half-listening, but she’d heard enough to know they’d been discussing work.

tbh, IDK that Theo knows if Will is a vampire or not but .... I feel like he’s someone that he’d just see and look at Chris and go “okay there’s no way that guy is NOT a vampire, right?!??!?”

Also, he’s not a fan that Will is trying to hit on Veronica and Nicole anD BETH!!!!????
