Hii! I had a few more questions, feel free to ignore any of them if theyāre too much, but Iām genuinely curious about Calvin. What would you say his love languages are? We already know he loves the MC and tends to show it in ways that seem practical or logical to him, but is he actually affectionate? How would you describe the way he loves?
Also, is he genuinely in love with the MC despite everything that happened? Why did he murder them, and would you personally classify him as a yandere, or is that left open to interpretation?
Another thing Iāve been wondering: what if the MC were a doctor too, maybe even a surgeon? What kind of surgeon does Calvin want to become himself?
And lastly, how would Calvin treat a softer, gentle, soft-spoken MC? Could you ever see him letting the MC go, and what are his thoughts on marriage? Would he actually āwife upā the MC if given the chance?
Thank you so much for reading ! And so sorry if this was too long (*Ā“ā`)āŖ
These are such good questions!
calvinās main ālove languageā is caretaking, but he will adapt to the other person. if physical touch or reassurance is important to them, heāll accommodate it, but it doesnāt come naturally to him.
heās not very openly affectionate, but heās still human. he does need affection, heās just very restrained and intentional about it. he may also use affection as positive reinforcement.
as for whether heās actually in loveā¦he definitely believes he is, but his version of love is very self-centered. he cares, but not in a selfless way. itās more so about feeling needed and maintaining control.
when he kills the mc in certain endings, he genuinely frames it as a form of mercy or like itās āgoodā for them. he canāt fully accept that heās the reason theyāre suffering, so in his mind, thereās something wrong that he canāt fix so he decides to end their suffering. subconsciously, heās a little relieved.
whether or not he counts as a yandere is kind of up to interpretation. heād kill for the mc, but itās not his first instinct, and honestly, heād find the aftermath more inconvenient than anything.
if the mc were also a doctor, heād have mixed feelings. heād appreciate the shared interest, but he wouldnāt feel as needed, which is something he relies on. heād be less likely to target someone like that in the first place.
he originally wanted to be a surgeon, especially something like neurosurgery, but chose primary care instead. he prefers the long-term, controlled relationship between doctor and patient.
a softer, more gentle mc would probably be his favorite. he responds well to compliance, especially if it comes with gratitude.
and no, he wouldnāt let them go. even if thereās nothing physically wrong, heād find a reason to justify keeping them there.
marriage, to him, isnāt really about romance. itās more about mc being legally bound to him. he doesnāt see it as necessary, but he does like the idea of that kind of bond (something that canāt easily be undone).
