- is said to be extremely stingy and dislikes spending money, yet does not hesitate A SECOND to buy hungary that cute hat when she remarks that she finds them pretty

- puts a lot of effort into his valentine’s day gift for her!!

- is generally super lazy when it comes to doing anything for others (such as telling germany to get food and draw him a bath himself while living with him) but for his wifey???? he’ll bake cakes and serve and decorate them for her and even help with mundane tasks such as doing DISHES (i repeat…roderich doing DISHES)

- greatly dislikes any sort of dressing up (even santa hats for christmas) but still participates in every matching costume concept hungary comes up with because it makes her happy

- very protective of her even though he knows she’s ten times tougher than him but still WHAT IF SHE GETS HURT

- literally does not care if she decides to express herself in a more masculine or feminine manner and supports her either way (also something people often get wrong for some reason) 

- HATES getting pictures taken of him and is generally very self conscious about his appearance, but doesn’t mind showing her his embarassing photo from april fool’s day i’ve literally been headcanonning that it was a pic of them cuddling but that’s another story hjdksskfjf

- COUNTS SHEEP FOR HER UNTIL SHE SLEEPS BC SHE SEEMS EXHAUSTED

tl;dr: He’s (like some other germanic nations as well) just a character quite uncomfortable and restricted with expressing personal emotions and affection (esp in public), so in the context of how his character is written actions are worth a lot more than words! thank you for coming to my ted talk <3
